Chapter 3- Shadows of the Past

After a year had passed since Megatron's departure, Y/N had started to get used to the Nemesis environment. Soundwave managed to construct his chamber, located close to Megatron and Soundwave's, from an area of the ventilation system that was no longer useful. The room was small but had all the essentials in it, from a berth where his sleeping bag was layed as his matress and bed sheets, a console with a computer for him to work on where his backpack was lazily put to it's side, and a closet for his clothing to be put on. Of the the side of the room was a door that lead to his bathroom, where the basics where also incorporated along with the resources for his higiene.

Because of his smaller size and fascination for Cybertronian, he was put in the Medical Bay as Knockout and Breakdown's assistant. He would help with delicate operations along with removal of any debris residing on the patient that neither Knockout or Breakdown could reach. This helped Y/N compare many of the Cybertronian health circunstances to that of humans, leading to some Eradicons being relieve from duties in order to properly recuperate and be back to full health. This did cause a lot of debate with Starscream as it did slow the harvesting of energon, though did ensure the Eradicon's well being and proper security against Autobots.

This work allowed him to develop physically, his lean body becoming more defined and sturdier, while being flexible for him to perform his duties. This allowed him to be very good with parkour, something he often does whenever he is outside of the nemesis or when he spars with Steve, though it's mostly a workout for Y/n to improve his dodging skills.

Because Y/N had no money, and Soundwave could not make a fake account as it could risk leaving a trail, Y/N had to resort to shoplifting and stealing, something he did had a bit of an issue at first, though managed to get the hang of it. This allowed him to change to more comfier clothing as the Nemesis is normally very chilly due to the high orbit and space vaccum. He managed to create a leather string for his necklace, his insignia being brand polished and with a golden hue Y/N personally painted. Soundwave incorporated a small chip within the insignia in order to let Y/N access the doors around the ship. The string is long enough to wrap around his turtleneck sweatshirt's neck, the sweater being a light dull grey hue. Y/N wears a dark navy blue toned jogger jeans, various pockets in it. He has a black leather jacket with a hoodie that is lighter in tone compared to the pants. His shoes are a dark shade of brown work boots, which makes it easier for him to perform parkour whenever he flees the store.

It's also because of his thefts that he took some light dull grey wrist lenghted gloves in order to prevent finger print identification. It was during the span of a year that Y/N's facial hair started to glow, which Y/N's manually takes car of it like he does with his hair. He opted for a side part hairstyle, though a mix between the relaxed and classical he was fond off. However he did preffer to keep his hair covered with a black toned baseball hat, with the hood ontop of it, which made his face be covered by the shade of the cap. It was something Y/N imitated from Soundwave, wanting to keep his emotions hidden and his conversations to a minimum. However he was given an earplug communication link in order to receive notifications about anything going on. He was also given a small tabloid that he could use to watch some records of the war or analyse some matters, though since he was not very good with Cybertronian language it took him a while to understand, though mathematic or science stuff where easier to understand despite the language difference.

Y/N carries a gun and a taser he stole from a security guard, losing Samuel's gun and needing to replace it with the guard's. However he still lacked a meelee weapon, something to give him a proper edge in combat if he comes face to face with an Autobot. It was a bother but Y/N was not really caring for that. Rather his focus was on understanding his origins, a case turned cold with the lack of data regarding Y/N's connection to the Decepticons. The insignia did not lead to anywhere as it was one without a license, now registered in Y/N's name. It was made some medical examinations but besides an unusual residue in his body, something that was speculated to be residues of Energon exposion, nothing seemed to link to connect to cybertronians. Without any clues, Y/N was forced to temporarily drop the case until there was a discovery of some sorts.
