Chapter 4- Pactsworn Pantheon

A month has passed since Y/N had brought the relic, but something felt wrong about it, something that he didn't understand exactly. Ever since the relic was put in the Vault, Y/N has been having waking nightmares, the dream he had of the sky cracking becoming worse as more and more cracks formed, each shard that fell onto the water bellow sending a shock onto him while displaying a form of vision that where so abstract that he wasn't able to understand it. Not only that but there was also something that resembled a sense of craving whenever he approached the Vault.

This took a severe toll on his mental health since it lead to sleepless nights and made him more fatigued. Knockout, Breakdown and Soundwave did notice Y/N's condition but could not exactly figure out what was the cause of it. It felt odd, though he felt familiarity about it, as if something or someone was calling for him. This craving made him far more agitated and jumpier then what he usually was.

One night, he couldn't take it anymore, he put on his clothing and made his way towards the Vault, letting that invisible tug in his heart tug him towards it. It was odd but it was better to give in then fighting it at this point, and no one knew what the relic was really for.

"... Worth a shot." 

He sneaked around the hallways, making sure no drone saw him, though he as sure Soundwave was already aware of his actions, likely not doing anything to see the result. Once he reached the Vault, he could feel like his body was moving on it's own. The closer he was of the relic the more he felt drawn to it, as if he was craving it. once he reached the podium where the weapon was floating in, he reached his hand towards the impossibly high rised relic. Yet, purple sparks came from his hand, the same ones coming from the relic as well, and in a matter of seconds the relic descended into his hand, almost like they had been magnetized.

He held the item in a trance state, taking a better look at it with much detail as possible. However, as he caressed it with his tumb, he seemed to have prickled a sharp edge of the item, leading to a small drop of blood to stain the relic. As it did, the relic seemed to react, almost as if his blood was the key to unlock the relic's true purpose.

"... Fascinating." 

Y/N contemplated the relic which started to grow purple highlights around it, vibrating slightly. He grew curious and held both hands on it to see what would happen. The moment he did, a jolt of energy from the item hit him, causing him to flinch and stumble down, suddenly getting visions of what seemed to be coordinates of an ancient egyptian temple deep underground going in a flash, yet clear to him.

"What the..." he spoke as he got up, his curiosity about his vision growing. Whatever the place in his vision was, it seemed to held something related to the relic, which seemed to stop vibrating, yet emanating the purple glow. He started to get up and made his way towards the control room, where no one seemed to be on sight.

"... Either Soundwave is making the job easier for me, trying to use me as bait to lead to where the relic is located... or he's in a mission." 

He shrugged, not really mattering which option was correct. He made his way towards a pannel and initiated the Ground Bridge sequence, entering the coordinates he remembers of seeing. With that, the Ground Bridge burst with life, Y/N making his quick exit of the ship.

Once on the other side, Y/N started coming cough due to the amount of dust in the air, though it seemed to only last for a bit until he could breathe normally. Soon there was only darkness as the vortex closed, forcing Y/N to adjust his vision.

"... The lost library of Alexandrite... and people called this a 'myth'. Still... what's this got to do with the relic?"

He looked around, but seeming to let his body being taken over and move on it's own, going through hallways and doors like it was maze. After what seemed to have been an hour exploring, he reached a massive hall with a throne at the very end.
