Dean's POV-I was sitting in the bunker. Sam making me do research at the table. It was pretty boring. Just your average read about wendigos. Per usual. I wanted to go out, grab a beer. Maybe find some hot chick and... no. Sammy is making me do this damn research.
I'm about to be done with my research when Cass comes in. Wearing his usual trench coat and his backwards tie. He looked like a wreck at this moment. His hair a mess and his shirt a bit unbuttoned. A lady would say he looked pretty hot. But I wouldn't. My father, John Winchester taught me that no man should like another man.
And I believed that statement. But ever since Cass... things have been different. I keep thinking about the dawn angel. Sometimes when I get wasted I think about what it would be like to play with his hair and call him pet names. Fuck. He spoke. "Dean, I've been looking for you." In his monotone voice. "Well, I'm right here. Whaddya want?"
"I want a puppy." The angel said. "A puppy? We can't get a damn puppy." I tried to think about how he even thought about wanting a puppy. Maybe Gabriel told him he should get one. Maybe he saw a cute one online. It doesn't matter. We can't even afford to take care of an animal.
"Why not?" He asked, tilting his head in such a cute way. It makes me want to cave in, but I can't. "Because you can hardly take care of yourself." "I can take care of myself." He was not giving up. "Cass, no." As I said that, he looked at me with upset eyes. I just.. I caved. "...fine." his eyes lit up. He smiled. That was a rare sight. Maybe it could be a good thing? It would certainly make him leave me alone.
Castiel's POV-
He had finally agreed to let me get a puppy. We were in the Impala, driving to the pet store to get supplies. Th0en we would go and get the puppy. I decided on a Border Collie.
"Do you think they have puppy clothes?" I asked. He replied with "Cass, we ain't getting no damn puppy clothes. I already agreed to a puppy, you don't need anything for it but a leash, collar and food." I didn't understand why. We had plenty money from our fraudulent credit cards for when we go hunting for the supernatural.
(Time skip bc I'm bored)
Dean's POV-
Me and Cass were sitting in the living room of the bunker, on the couch. He had the damn puppy sitting on his lap. For some reason the combination looked adorable. Cass was adorable. He was baby talking the dog before I spoke. "Are ya happy?" I asked. He replied with "I really like this dog. Thank you." I smiled a bit.
He was happy. A rare sight, different from his usual boring facial expression. I don't wanna sound like some teenage girl with a dumb crush, but I think I think I like him. More than friends. More than family. More than anything I've ever felt with those random ass girls from random ass bars all across the country.
"Hey Cass?" I started. "I'm glad I met you." I said. I'm not one to be sappy, but I really was. I know my damn father would flip the fuck out if he was still alive and he saw me with a man but i don't care anymore. "You are?" He smiled a bit and tilted his head. He was so damn adorable.
"Of course, Cass." I replied. "I'm glad I met you, as well. You are... one of a kind." It made my heart melt. Hearing that. Should I... no. I can't. Not yet. I can't kiss him. Instead... "Cass do you accept hugs?" "Yes..?" I leaned over to him, giving him a hug. I'm glad I met this angel.
