I walk in the door, hoping my mom isn't in the kitchen. Sadly, as I look, there she is cooking. She looks like her normal self, at least whenever she isn't too mad, so I think I should just be let off with a, "Don't do it again."

As I walk further into the house, I sit at the window seat table in the kitchen, getting my homework out. I don't dare touch my phone yet, knowing she could take it away, even if it was just a conduct mark.

She finally turns to me "Why were you passing notes?" I sigh "Well I was trying to get them to stop but they wouldn't and I was in the middle so it would be rude if I didn't pass it to the other person" My mom sighs "Your cutting the grass this weekend"

I get a little mad at that, knowing how difficult it is to cut the grass, being kinda short and a 10 year old. I sigh a little, but say, "Yes, ma'am.", then look away, starting my homework.

After about 30 minutes, I'm finished with all my homework. I put my stuff in my folders and backpack, neatly, then put it on the hook by the door, reaching to get my phone, but hesitate for a second, worried my mom might take it. Eventually, I take it out. dad laughs at my hesitation. My mom rolls her eyes at the laugh, but I burry upstairs, a little embarrassed. I go to my room, hearing my brother's video game rage as I pass his room, and close my door. When I'm in my room, I open the group chat. I text,

Me: Hey, who isn't grounded?

After a few minutes, I get a response,

Strawberry: Me and Jane just got lectured, A LOT

Sunflower: Ya, Etsi was maaad

Strawberry: I spammed Jolie, I guess she got grounded

Me: Yeah, it was probably her dad, especially when we heard her Papa laugh

Sunflower: Ig we'll never know, at least until    she is ungrounded
