CHAPTER ONE

The evening air in Bangkok was filled with a warm buzz as Nirin entered the gallery. The room was alive with the murmur of conversations and the clinking of glasses, but Nirin felt like an outsider, navigating the event with a shy demeanor. He drifted through the gallery, glancing at Meera's vibrant paintings without much engagement.

"Hey, you're Nirin, right?" A confident voice broke through his reverie. Nirin turned to see a tall man with an easy smile and a camera slung around his neck.

"Um, Yes?" Nirin replied, a bit taken aback. He shifted uncomfortably under the man's direct gaze.

"I'm Anon," the man said, extending a hand with a charismatic grin. "I've heard a lot about you. What do you think of Meera's work?"

Nirin hesitated, feeling a bit flustered. "It's... really colorful," he managed, struggling to find the right words.

Anon's eyes sparkled with interest. "I love how the colors pop, don't you? Can we find somewhere to talk? Because I'd love to know more about you."

Nirin, feeling a mix of anxiety and curiosity, nodded. As they made their way to a nearby cafe, he couldn't shake the feeling of being drawn into Anon's orbit. The confident photographer was a striking contrast to his own quiet, introverted nature, and Nirin found himself intrigued by the sudden shift in his evening.
