Chapter 5

I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up, the sun was shining through the blinds. I sat up groggily. I grabbed my phone, no new notifications. I stood up and walked to Rory's bedroom. He was fast asleep against his favorite animal, a lion. I smiled and went to the kitchen. I called Liam and asked what he was doing.

"Nothing at all. Why? Are you bored?" He chuckled.

"Rory's asleep. I was going to schedule an appointment for us to get our pictures taken, family photo." I said grabbing juice from the fridge, pouring myself a glass.

"That's cool, wh- oh hey Niall!" Shit.

"Gotta to Liam! Talk to sometime ok?" I hung up. I sighed and went to wake Rory up. Today we were going to see a movie at the theater. Rory was complaining about going to see the Pixar movie for weeks, and I had to treat him before he got his pictures taken. He hated dressing up. But luckily the photos were a couple hours after the movie.

"C'mon sleepyhead! Wanna go to the movies?" I smiled. His head shot right up and he beamed at me. I picked out a cute little outfit for him and went to get dressed myself. I wore some tights with boots and my white peacoat. Threw on a little makeup and headed out the door.

"I am so hungry mommy!" Rory said. I nodded and asked where he wanted to eat. "Uhmmmm, MCDONALD'S!" He yelled. Of course. My child has horrible eating habits. We stopped there and he played in the play set for a while, then it was 2:00 , and the movie was going to start soon.

"Come on bud! We are leaving!" I yelled up to him. He came down the slide and jumped in my arms. He hugged me and smiled. I love my baby boy.

NIALLS POV

"Just admit it lad, you have a hooker. Hey, I'm not one to judge!" I said to Liam laughing walking in the room.

"Niall, she isn't a hooker. Just a friend." Liam said, obviously upset with me.

"Alright then what's her name?" I asked with a smirk. He groaned and left to Harry's room. I went in to the room Zayn was. "You up for a scary movie? There's a real good one playing in the theater near here."

"Yes! Let me grab my jacket." He got up and ran to the coat rack. "Let's go Niall!" We left the hotel unnoticed and managed to get there pretty fast. There was an enormous line for the tickets.

AUDREY'S POV

I unbuckled Rory at the movie theater and headed for the door. There was a huge crowd of girls, probably a Channing Tatum movie showing. We walked up and bought our tickets. Rory was estatic. He was bouncing around and yelling the he gets to see the movie.

When we stepped into the theater, a wave of butter smells hit me, and I craved popcorn. Rory tugged my pants. "We get popcorn right mommy?" I nodded and walked to the counter. Again a long line. Rory was still bouncing around.

"Calm down Rory, stay close!" I said to him. He looked at me and obviously didn't understand. As I payed for the popcorn, Rory grabbed it and started running into the hallway that led to each of the showing rooms. I rolled my eyes and didn't pay much attention. The ushers wouldn't let him go far. I followed him and turned a corner, I didn't see him. I started panicking. I ran around another corner and saw Rory sitting on the ground, popcorn surrounding him.

A man walked up to him and started comforting him. He picked him up and shook him, shhing him. When he turned around, my heart dropped.

NIALLS POV

"Zayn I really need some popcorn. Be right back okay?" He nodded and I headed down the aisle and stepped out of the showing room. There were a lot of posters of little kid movies. If I had my baby, we'd go see a movie every weekend.

I have to stop doing this to myself.

I headed around a corner when I watched this little kid wipe out and drop all his popcorn. He was crying and shaking. I ran over to him and calmed him.

"Hey buddy, you okay? It's alright, just a little stumble is all." He was adorable. His hair was light brown and he had really blue eyes. He was still crying so I picked him up and said I'd get him another popcorn. He smiled a bit and sniffed. "Who ya here with kiddo?" I asked.

"Mommy." He managed to spit out. "We gotta find you mommy then huh?" He nodded and I smiled. I laughed a bit and shook him around. He smiled and spit out a little laugh. "There ya go, let's go get mommy." I said as I turned around.

I turned and a girl was staring at us.

It was Audrey.

I stared at her and my breath hitched. I looked at the kid, who was smiling now and back at Audrey. My eyes got wide and started to tear. I stepped towards Audrey and looked her deep in the eyes.

"I-I-is t-t-this." I said looking at the kid. She nodded slowly and her breathing got really heavy.

Time stopped. I was holding my baby in my hands, staring at the best thing that ever happened to me. My baby was beautiful. He looked just like me. This was my baby, I created him. Audrey was beautiful as ever. I couldn't help but tear. I haven't seen her in 3 years, and now, now I stumbled upon her and my child.

AUDREY'S POV

"N-niall." I stammered. He was crying softly. Rory reached out to me and smiled. I grabbed him and set him on the ground. He looked up at Niall and I. Niall was staring at me and I couldn't help but get extremely flustered. My breathing rushed and I started sniffling. Niall grabbed me and hugged me for what seemed like hours. We sat there hugging each other forever. His head nestled in my neck squeezing my tightly. I squeezed equally as hard and started crying. It was Niall. I hadn't seen him since we broke up, and I felt really good to see him again.

Rory yelled up to me "Mommy, I need new popcorn..." Niall laughed, and I cried a littler harder.

He let me go and I wiped my tears. He did the same. Niall looked down at my baby and smiled. Rory kind of stared awkwardly until I spoke, "Okay baby, just a minute." I was still softly crying, but I had to stop.

Niall bent down to Rory's level and spoke to him, "I'll get you a popcorn yah?" He said. Rory smiled and ran to the concession stand. Niall grabbed your hand and you went with him. Was this really happening?

Niall turned to you and spoke. "Audrey, I-I really miss you, and I am so sorry about what happened. Please, we need to talk about this. My son and fiancée just bumped into me at a movie theater, and I love you both so much." When he said fiancée my throat went dry.

"Ex fiancée." You corrected him. His face dropped and he became upset. He picked up Rory and started talking to him.

"His name is Rory, Rory Horan." I said. Whe. I spoke my voice cracked and I nearly broke, but I couldn't, not in front of my baby.

"Rory eh? That's a great name Rory!" He said. I grabbed Rory from him and took the popcorn.

"Thank you Niall." I said. I stared to walk away into the screening room when he grabbed my wrist.

"I let you get away once, it isn't happening again."
