Missing posters on every wall. A new one nearly every week. "Amiri the police want you" my dad yelled from downstairs. Guess they want me to answer more questions I mean both Blake, my boyfriend and Nicole, my best friend went missing recently. Walking down the stairs, a woman officer in the doorway, uniform just like any other. "Yes?" I sighed leaning on the wall. "You know your boyfriend Blake?" she asked looking down at a file in her hand. "Yea..." I questioned staring straight at her deep green eyes.
"He was found dead" she said sounding almost sympathetic "I'm sorry". Standing up straight, my body shaking, my breath quickening. My dad spoke, "What did he die of?". Taking my hand in his as a breath came from the officer "Hypothermia, found a tank of ice water" she stated looking between us." I'm sorry for your loss madam have a good day". Then she left, leaving me speechless. My lover, the only man in that god Damn school I've ever loved! Is dead...he's gone.
"Im going to bed" I muttered pulling my hand away from my dads; and heading upstairs. Sitting on my floor, tears dripping down my cheeks. There was still hope for Nicole, maybe she was still alive.
The next night came quickly and another officer visited and she was dead. Killed by murder in her car. Dad stayed in silence, guess he didn't want to upset me more. Letting out a scream and dropping to my knees. How could I have lost everything In only a matter of days? I never wanted to break down in front of an officer but she just left me crying. Who the hell would do this?
Once the summer sun had fallen, I headed out into the woods, the cold air cooling me. Suddenly, a stick snapped behind me. Turning around quickly. There was no one there.
Then it happened, a cloth was placed over my mouth. My body became weak before everything went black. Waking up in a room, the air stuffy. Sweat dripping from my forehead. My breathing slow and deep. This was it I was done. This was goodbye. See you in heaven Nicole, Blake.
