"So..." I look at him once we are standing in front of a water fountain "Tell me about yourself"
"Uh... I don't-" He looks at me lost, with puppy dog eyes, oh god, he'll be the death of me. I wonder what he thinks about me.
"Don't say you don't know, just say something random. I'll start then, alright?" I tell him reassuringly, watching him nod. "Okay, so... Well, I'm seventeen, you?" I watch him, his beautiful green eyes sparkling in this light.
"Oh nice, I'm sixteen. When's your birthday?" He asks sweetly.
"You're younger! How cute" I laugh slightly, watching him blush. "My birthday is very special, guess"
"Well, if it's when you're born of course it's special, right? It could be any day" He says, and I feel my heart beat faster. He just called me special, right? Oh my god!
"Why, thank you, Harold! I know I'm quite special right. Anyway, it's Christmas eve, December 24th"
"Oh! That's what you meant" He laughs a little bit, looking down, shuffling his feet. He looks a bit nervous, fidgety. Do I make him nervous?
"That's nice, must be cool having your birthday on Christmas. Mine's regular I guess, February 1st" He adds looking into my eyes. Oh, I get lost.
"Well, not really nice, I guess, people tend to forget it, to focus on Christmas gifts, decorations, parties or whatever. But it's fine. Your birthday is a cute date, though, won't forget it" I tell him, when I feel someone touch my shoulder, and I look back.
"Yes?" I ask an unknow boy standing behind me. And that's when I realize we are still standing in front of the water fountain, which is actually meant to be used, not just a chatting spot.
"Do you mind?" He hesitates a little bit, blushing. What's with these people blushing all the time? They're out here, in a couple minutes are going to perform to a crazy amount of people, yet they blush just to look at me. What is it?
Soon enough, Harry picks up my hand again, and softly tells the boy "Oh, sorry! We forgot we were standing here"
He quickly pulls me away from the boy, towards a couple empty chairs.
"Sorry for, you know, pulling you so abruptly" He laughs "I just saw behind you there were so many people, we were on the way..." He trails off so cutely.
"Nah don't worry about it. I had forgotten about it, thank god you were there" I look at him with a sly smile. Now it's my turn to pull him to sit next to me in the chairs, except I pull him especially closer to me. He's so warm, and his skin is so soft. I want him.
I haven't even give a second thought over the fact that this is a boy I'm talking about, and I've never felt like this before. I'm not even gay... or am I? I have no idea. I don't like guys... just Harry. Maybe I'm just straight but Harrysexual. Does that even make sense? No.
"Yeah" He looks down, once again, to our hands tied together one more time. I hope he doesn't think this is weird.
"You're really nice, Harry. You seem like a nice guy, you know?" I tell him, not letting his hand go yet.
"You too, Louis. You've been very kind, I was kind of alone when I walked in here, so It's nice having someone as nice as you to be with me" He smiles while the words come out of his mouth very slowly, in his deep, deep voice. He shys away though, letting go of my hand and looking like he's said too much, but he doesn't look like he regrets it. I hope not.
I don't quite manage words, so I just give him a big smile that, I hope, tells him much more than anything I could say.
He smiles back, just as brightly, setting a comfortable silence.
It doesn't last long at all though, two seconds after, a voice comes through the speakers "Hello, contestants, get ready for your performances, you will start being called into the stage in alphabetical order of your last names shortly. Thank you"
"Oh! Time went by really fast, I thought we still had twenty minutes"
"When we first met we did. The time we spent talking was twenty minutes" He laughs. Oh, that sweet laugh. I want to scream at him "run me over with a car, hit me in the face, I'll thank you", but I don't.
"Damn, Harold, spending time with you is so wonderful, it all felt like two minutes" I grin at him.
"It really did..." He looks at me with sparkling eyes, and a cute smirk. Soon enough it looks like he's nervous. Maybe he just remebered he has to sing in front of so many people, he is very introverted, from what I've seen, so it must be harder.
"Are you okay?" I ask him.
I've always been so extroverted, so open to people, never embarrassed of anything, it's different seeing shy, quiet people. Harry is just that, but I think once you get to know him, he would never shut up. And I love that.
"Yes... I'm just a bit nervous" He shrugs it off. "I'm a bit shy, you know, so I tend to get nervous before things like these, but once I step on the stage I feel fine. I think it's just
comforting doing something I love" He explains."Oh yes, I can understand that. It's normal to be nervous, and then relaxing into it. I'm sure you're very talented. Can't wait to hear you sing" I blink one eye, and send him my very best smirk. I won't lie, I want to impress him, and I want him to, well, want me.
He laughs. He looks less shy now.
"Yes, I could say the same about you"
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yes, of course, Lewis. You have the voice of an angel" He laughs.
How cute, is that flirting? Is it a joke? Just banter? Does he actually think I have the voice of an angel? I just wish I could scream to him "you are an angel, love".
"I know, right. Finally someone sees it too" I continue our.. joke? "Well, I was wondering-"
I was cut short when the loud voice comes through the speakers "Mr. Styles, you are next, after that Mr. Tomlinson"
"Oh, alright! You're next. Let me tell you a few things" We get up and walk towards one of the staff members close to the stage doors. Harry takes a deep breath and nods, soft smile on his beautiful face.
"Okay, so... You're going to be amazing, the best out here I'm sure" I lean in and whisper "I've heard the others rehearsing"
He lets out a breathy laugh after that. I smile at the sight.
"Okay, and, I would like to keep in touch with you" I curse myself for saying it like that, so awkard. I try not to make a disgusted face.
"Oh, do you now, Lewis?" He tilts his chin up.
"I do, actually" I say shrugging, and a grin ghosting my lips.
"Me too. I guess we can meet up in the... bathroom?" He looks at me with an confused expression. The bathroom, how romantic. I mean, we did first meet there but... seriously.
Whatever, anything to see him again.
"Well, yes, okay!" I look behind Harry, staff members walking towards us. "You got this, rockstar! I'll meet you back here later, okay?"
I smile at him reassuringly, holding both of his hands, giving them a squeeze before letting them go again."Thank you, Louis. Meet you back here" He smiles a small smile. He looks nervous, but definetly way less than before.
He walks into the stage, and I look at him "Hi, I'm Harry Styles". He's going to be a popstar.
