3. School Sucks

~LOUIS' POV~

I walked with Harry and Niall to class. I was glad I had new friends, or I hoped I had new friends. They seemed like sweet people.

Once lunch period had started I walked to the library to meet Harry and Niall. I figured they would be in one of the back tables in the corner, that's usually where someone who eats in the library goes, right? I walked around until I found them. Once I had seen them I smiled and waved, but they just slightly smiled back. I was confused

'Hey Louis.'

Niall said

'Look, I know it's your first day here, I don't want you in any trouble with us. What I mean by that is there are these two older guys, Liam and Zayn. They come in here every so often and bug us. Usually they pick us up and take us to the bathrooms and you know.... beat us up.'

I was still confused

' Oh that's terrible why would they do that.'

Harry sighed.

' You might not wanna sit with us after this, but we are considered freaks here. Niall and I are both only 16 and 17. We skipped a few grades. People don't like us, and I fear they are gonna do to you what they do to us if you hang out with us.'

I just sat there. I didn't know, I didn't think of them as freaks.

' Dont worry Harry I'm used to it. It's ok I'll help. We just need to hide from them the days they come in here. I don't know around this place but I can find us a spot.'

Niall smiled. He had braces, he seemed a little old for braces.

'You would actually do that?'

Niall said.

'Absolutely I-'

My phone rang. Shit. It was Eleanor. I forgot to call her this morning.

'Give me one second I have to take this. It's my girlfriend.'

~ HARRY'S POV~

Who was this kid? Why was he interested in us? Why was he offering to help us?

Niall and I didn't tell the kid we were gay. He looked nice but It's best he doesn't know I don't want more people thinking we are freaks.

'Niall, do you think we should invite him over after school? I mean he seems nice I guess.'

Niall looked at me funky.

'Do you genuinely seriously think he's going to want to hang out with two gay freaks. I mean he has a girlfriend he isn't one of us. He's probably homophobic like the rest of the school.'

I sighed.

'Niall, he's new. Not everyone is gonna be homophobic. Maybe he's nice.'

'Whatever. fine.'

Louis walked back over to us, he looked worried.

' What's wrong Louis? Everything good?'

I asked, trying to be kind.

' Yeah. It's just my girlfriend. She's scared I'm going to meet someone new and dump her.'

He shrugged his shoulders.

' Oh. Can't relate to that buddy.'

I chuckled a bit.

' What do you mean by that? Do you guys not have girlfriends?'

Niall and I laughed. The librarian looked over at us and we quickly covered our mouths.

'Louis don't run away from us when I say this.'

I laughed a bit more

'I'm gay.'

Louis didn't have an expression. I got scared.

'Oh.'  Louis said.

' Yeah we are kind of both gay. Harry's my boyfriend.'

Niall said it proudly. It made me smile a bit.

' That's fine with me. Hope you guys didn't think I wouldn't be your friend because of that.'

'I'm glad.' Niall smiled while saying it.

' In fact, we were gonna hang out after school today. You can come if you want. We don't mind.'

Louis smiled.

'Really?! Here's my number uh you can just text me where to go I'll drive over!'

We all continued our conversations.

Then all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye, a tall figure walks towards us. Shit it's Zayn.

'Fuck. It's Zayn and Liam.'

Louis and Niall looked over.

Before Zayn and Liam found us Louis quickly grabbed us and dragged us to the corner.

' I have no clue where to go but follow me we can hide.'

We followed Louis.
