Chapter 2

Who does this guy think he is? A god or something? He had the nerve to expect me to praise him after he straight-up told my sister she wasn't good enough. If I could drive, I'd have run him over myself.

I'm intently watching the tiny images of the cars racing just meters away from us. A thrilling mix of nervousness and excitement washes over me as I witness them speeding by.

“I thought we're on the same team?!” siniko ako ni Tiara.

Inis ko siyang binalingan ng tingin that made me halted from cheering Nikolas that I didn't know.

“Never! Cut the expectation I'll cheer for him.

Saan ba d'yan yung Nikolas? I suppose it's the black one.

I didn't expect that racing in reality seemed to be thrilling and .  . . dangerous. Medyo kabado lang ako dahil baka mayroong maaksidente.

“Look, the two are really into the line!” tumili sa gilid ko si Barbs.

I snorted dismissively. As if his name holds any significance to me. The only thing I know is that he's allied with Heron, and every man in Heron's circle is a dangerously red flag . . evident from his incessant.

They are the typical famous group on campus, attracting a swarm of fan girls.

That's how his friends came to know me.

I'm fortunate to have received a scholarship to the university, which means my tuition fees are discounted. Our university is renowned in our province, pangarap lang ng mga students sa probinsya namin ang makatapak sa unibersidad.

“Puwede ba kayo after nito?

He pouted like a kid mas lalo lang siyang nagmukhang manok. “Sige na, Diez. Ngayong gabi lang. Isa pa, this is the first time I talked to you. Have some fun lang.”

“Ayoko nga, tuka,” pang-aasar ko.

Nawala ang ngisi niya sa labi. He clicked his tongue before chuckling. “Okay, sige, sampu!”

Naglalaman ng 3 rounds ang racing. And guess what? Heron won.

“Aw, sayang, you chose to be my basher so. .  goodbye autograph,” a smirk on his lips is evident of pissing me off.

I hadn't had a chance to meet Ghon. After Nikolas lost, they vanished away. Tuloy, ako rin ang nawalan.  I didn't lament anyway. Marami pa namang araw para roon. Hindi ako mawawalan ng pag-asa.
