In Another World With My Shipgirls

Prologue, and a brand new day

12th of May 2029

The Third Siren war of 2019 has evolved at a much larger scale. Implying all factions against the superior alien forces, the current commander of the base, the famous commander John Doe, after participating in multiple human wars and commanded several types of ships, who was assigned to command the unknown base of Azur Lane has defined the war as a 'unwinnable one' extending to the world's borders.

Before a convoy was being sent through the Atlantic Ocean, the commander requested to follow his convoy fleet on the fleet's flagship: Warspite. The fleet was composed of the destroyers Z-23 (Niimi) and Ayanami, the cruiser Sheffield and Warspite herself as flagship. They departed from Eagle Union's main naval base near Florida.

[A few hours later, after the launch of the convoy]

Z-23: "I'm picking up submarine reflects on my hydroacoustic search!"

Ayanami: "Aye, let me deal with them, just tell me where they are, yes"

Z-23: "Uh, one to your right front and another one directly in front of you and the last one is in front of me I got it"

Ayamani uses her depth charge catapult to launch 2 ASW bombs per submarine reference she got from Niimi, while Niime herself drops the charges on top of the siren submarine.

Warspite: "Sheffield, I think it's time to radar our surrounding"

Sheffield: "Got it"

Commander Doe: "Wait, Sheffield, how do you have radar in the first place?"

"I am Town-class, sub-class of the Southampton-class cruisers and so is Belfast, who also have the same radar, it would be normal that I have the same radar as her. I also share the same smoke generators" replied a straightforward Sheffield. "And I still don't understand why you two still call me Sheffield when the whole entire rest of the shipgirls call me Sheffy"

"Habits are hard to change, Sheffield" the commander replied back to her.

A few seconds pass in silence as the convoy sails to the Royal Navy.

"Commander... what's in those two transport ships?" said Warspite as she broke the sequential silence.

The commander replied: "Just a ton of ammunition and building resources... I heard you Royal Navy are building a Capital ship, which costs a lot in materials, so I decided to put my hand into the gang and help you all out!"

Z-23: "Welp, that's our commander, reliable as ever"

"Only if he would buy us all gaming consoles or computers so we can all play World of Warships...yes" added Ayanami.

"You shouldn't play all day! You need to attend the Academy and have a life! Do you know how much times Laffey and Javelin had to pull you to your desk in the morning?!" Niimi scolded her friend like a teacher, while litterally also being a legit real teacher.

Ayanami: "...Yes"

"I can't believe after all that I said this is the answer...?!" Niimi whispers to helself as she facepalms.

Sheffield: "I'm picking up something on the radar! There is a few destroyers and cruisers- No, it's a full fledged Siren fleet!"

Warspite: "What are your orders, commander?"

"Warspite and I will take the two transport ships with us and take a detour, while you three hold the siren fleet off. Also make sure they don't notice us!" Commander John Doe told them.

The destroyers and the cruiser nod in agreement: "Roger, sir!"

As the fleet separates, Sheffield notices another entity on her radar, but doesn't mention it, nor give it much attention, as the volume of the object was rather smaller than a ship, so she scaled an animal or rather a sea animal. Probably a passing whale.
