The black haired girl, who was sitting on her kitchen chair, laughed to herself when she saw the messages sent by the red-eyed boy. So he got what he wanted at the end.

"Hier, it's signed," her mother said, making her look up from her phone. Her mom's voice was tremulous and brittle, but so had it been since the past half year. She always looked tired and at the verge of breaking down, but never really did. Her lips curled into a faint, plaintive smile. "Have fun."

"Danke, Mama." Angelica thanked and took the pink paper in her hands, and after getting no answer she headed to the entrance, grabbing the dog leash and exiting towards the yard. She then grabbed her phone again to answer Aiden, writing something about the lines of 'oh cool' and left it in her pocket.

"Schäfer, hier!" she shouted after whistling with her fingers. Soon enough, a couple barks resonated behind the house and then a huge german shepherd showed up running towards the girl, eager to go on a walk with her. Before he could tackle her to the ground, she spoke again, loud and clear, "halt!"

The dog did as told, obbeyingly stopping his race and sitting before the blue-eyed girl, looking at her with sweet eyes.
"Braver hund!" she praised, earning a tail wiggle from Schäfer. Yes, he was a german shepherd and his name was literally 'shepherd'. Her father wasn't very creative.

Schäfer was a big dog, reaching the middle of Angelica's thigh while standing in all fours and being her height while on his back paws. He had lustrous brown and black hair and he looked imposing, but he was kind and obedient, and full of love for everyone.

As they were taking a walk around the neighbourhood, she spotted an orange hair walking in her direction. The redhead also saw her, and felt akward when they crossed paths, not sure if she should say hi or not. They didn't really talk, so...

Angelica sensed Ashlyn's lack of predisposition to greet her, so she decided to let it go and just keep walking, but Schäfer had other plans and decided to approach the redhead and sniff her. Both girls then stopped, as the green-eyed crouched down to pet him.

"Can I?" She asked, looking at Angelica while the dog wiggled his tail in anticipation and bounced up and down.

"Sure," Angelica nodded, giving him a slight smile as she looked to her excited dog. "Schäfer, sitz."

The dog obeyed and sat still, allowing the redhead to run her hand through his fur as he kept wiggling his tail and pushing his head towards her to receive more and more pets.
"He likes to be scratched behind the ears," she adviced and the ginger proceeded.

"He's really big and cute. Ah- what was his name again?" Ashlyn asked, her eyes lit at the sight of the animal, something that Angelica noticed and smiled about. She also remembered that earlier the girl was coerced by her blonde classmate to go on the field trip, so she stiffled a laugh at that thought.

"Schäfer. You like dogs, right?" The black haired girl observed the interaction between the redhead and the animal. She nodded, but it was clear she didn't have one just by seeing the way she acted with the hound. "I walk Schäfer sometimes in the evening. If you're not busy, I can give you a ring sometime so you can come."
