"Ha!" The dyed boy's grin widened, almost reaching the manic state, as he saw Ashlyn slam the cleaning cart against one of the creatures. They were trying to distract them enough to reach the boys' room. "Y'know... This could be fun." He growled in excitement, aiming a chemical cleaning spray towards the creature's face and blinding it.
It squirmed and covered its eyes, but didn't make any sound. At least, not a sound anyone with normal hearing could perceive. Meanwhile, Ashlyn was wincing and covering her ears in pain.
"Come on Aiden!" The redhead called for him, but he looked eager to jump into brawl."I think we can take them! There are more bottles-" Angelica yanked his arm.
"Now's not the time!" She cut him while Ashlyn and Ben looked at him the same way.
'So he's an idiot with a completely altered perception of reality, cool.'
He finally gave in and they ran towards the room. As they finally got inside, the sound of the door being locked brought a sense of relief over all of them.
They panted, trying to regain their breath and leaning against the closest things they found. Angelica, as other people, leaned her back against the wall, feeling exhausted and dizzy as the adrenaline dissipated from her body with every breathing. She let her back slide down across the wall until she was sitting on the floor, knees close to her chest and head leaning back with closed eyes.
Logan's gasp drew everyone's attention, as he looked in horror the wide trail of blood she had left on the beige wall.
"You- you-!" He stammered as Ashlyn and Ben rushed to aid her."I'm okay," she breathed out, moving her hair out of the way and allowing them to see the five claw wounds that went through her left shoulder, collarbone and scapula. Some blood still escaped it, dyeing her shirt. She relaxed her eyelids, breathing heavily to try and relax.
"Holy shit. How the hell did you manage to run all the way here with that?" Tyler asked bluntly, his face showing perplexity.
"Y-you said it was just a scratch!" Taylor stammered. The wounded girl sighed and unvoluntarily winced again. It hurt like a bitch.
"It'll be okay," Aiden said calmly with his typical grin, crouching down by her side, facing her, "Ben can clean and wrap you up in no time."
She slightly opened her eyes to look at him as she drew a little smile on her face.
"Thanks."The aiding process was far from pleasant. As Ben was working, the sting from the wound cleaner added to the pain of the wound itself ─wich was far from shallow─, making the black-haired girl clench her fists and jaw as she tried to stay still.
Aiden crouched down by her side.
"That's a pretty nasty wound," he commented."You tell me- Gah!" The girl flinched as Ben used a cotton to tap and clean the cuts. He gave her an apology look and she forced a smile. "It's okay, don't worry." She involuntarily raised her fist a bit and slammed it back against the floor. "Although it does hurt like hell."
The dyed boy's hand placed itself between Angelica's hand and the floor, to avoid any more punching. He grabbed her fist.
"I can lend you a cloth if you want to squeeze it," he offered. She shook her head and when another wave of pain shot from her shoulder, she undid her fist and involuntarily grabbed onto Aiden's wrist, almost digging her nails into his skin.He flinched for a moment, but let her squeeze his arm until Ben was done bandaging her. For a moment, she thought about how lucky she was to be wearing a tank top with thin strings as her pijama, other wise she would've been forced to take her shirt off in that situation.
