"Dude, please don't let Ben be right about you," Kenji muttered to Hap, his face contorting with disgust. "I can't start listening to a guy who eats bugs."

Ben plucked a plump grub from a nearby bush, extending it toward Vera. "Want some?"

She grimaced, averting her eyes. "No thanks. I'm full from the berries."

Unfazed, Ben shrugged and popped the grub into his mouth, swallowing it whole. Kenji visibly shuddered, his entire body recoiling at the sight.

"This way, Bumpy," Ben said, his tone flat and directed more at Hap than the dinosaur. "Allegedly."

Kenji let out a long-suffering sigh. "And now he's talking to his dinosaur."

Ben approached Vera, his expression softening. "You okay? You've seemed a little off today."

"I'm okay. Just... thinking," she replied, offering a half-hearted smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"I've spent the past two weeks with you on this island," Ben said. "It might not be long, but it's long enough to know something's up."

Before Vera could respond, Kenji's excited voice cut through the tension. "Guys, look!"

Vera silently celebrated the interruption as the bushes parted to reveal a weathered garage standing incongruously in the middle of nowhere.

"Believe me now?" Hap's sardonic voice dripped with satisfaction.

Ben's retort was immediate. "An empty garage in the middle of nowhere proves nothing."

"Maybe the vehicles are inside," Kenji suggested, a hint of hope in his voice.

As the group began to approach, Rocky and Bumpy suddenly bellowed loudly. Ben and Vera frantically tried to quiet the dinosaurs, desperate to avoid drawing attention.

Their efforts were in vain. A sharp screech pierced the air from the surrounding bushes. In an instant, the group dove behind the garage wall.

Brooklynn cautiously peered around the edge, her breath catching in her throat. Through the foliage, she caught a glimpse of three familiar figures: Chaos, Limbo, and Grimm.

"This is bad," she whispered, her voice tight with fear.

The Baryonyxes prowled closer, circling the front of the garage and blocking the entrance. Bumpy's frightened grunts echoed through the space, drawing the predators' attention. The group retreated, backs pressed against the wall until Kenji spotted a door.

He yanked at the handle, cursing under his breath. "It's locked!"

Suddenly, as Brooklynn brushed past, the door swung open with an unexpected creak. Kenji gaped, "H-How did you..."

Brooklynn pulled a blank card from her pocket, a triumphant glint in her eyes. "The key card I found in Wu's lab."

Rocky and Bumpy's bellows rose to a fevered pitch. "Go! Go! Go!" Ben hissed, his whisper sharp with urgency.

They spilled into the trashed garage, desperation etching each movement. Brooklynn's mind was already racing. "Why would birthday guy have a key to this place? Unless it's a master key—it could open something in Wu's lab. It could open everything!"

Kenji rolled his eyes. "Here we go again."

Hap's voice cut through the tension. "Quiet," she warned. "Her and the other girl are the only ones with any sense."

A piercing screech outside made them all freeze.

Brooklynn darted to a locked door, the key card clutched in her hand. "If I'm right, this should open too." She swiped the card, and with a mechanical whirr, the massive garage door began to rise.

Panic erupted.

"Brooklynn!" Kenji shouted.

"Shut the door!" Hap urged, her voice rising. Brooklynn frantically swiped the card again, but the scanner remained unresponsive.

"How do we get out of here?" Ben yelled.

Vera's eyes landed on salvation: a motorcycle tucked in the corner. "There!" she pointed.

Brooklynn was already in motion, grabbing a helmet and mounting the bike. "We need a distraction," she muttered.

The dinosaurs' roars crescendoed, a primal symphony of hunting intent. Ben's gaze locked on a stack of barrels. He exchanged a quick glance with Vera—a silent communication born of survival.

She passed him a metal rod. Together, they began rigging a makeshift explosive.

The garage erupted in a thunderous explosion, fire and debris billowing outward. The Baryonyxes were hurled back, momentarily stunned by the blast. But predators are nothing if not persistent—they shook off the impact and resumed the chase.

"Vera and I will draw a couple this way!" Ben shouted, he and Vera breaking away from the group, drawing the dinosaurs' attention.
