Chapter 21: Back On Track ( with a suprise)

Janet's Pov
After my little break,it's time to get back to work. I arrived in Oregon last night and has been awake ever since and it's a new day. I'm waiting on Gil so we can head to rehearsal. Toni stayed back to handle business at the warehouse. But she says she'll be here in time for the show which is in four days. "Gil hurry up or we'll be late"I whined. He groaned dramatically and exited out of the bathroom. "Damn a bitch can't get no time for himself"he said grabbing his bag and walked out my hotel room. I shook my head and followed him to the elevator. We got in and I pressed the first floor button. "Is Toni coming out here"Gil asked. He hugged me for a good minute before pulling away. The elevator stopped and we got out. Joey was waiting for us outside. He opened the door and we got in. We got comfortable as Joey drove off. Something told me to look at Gil, so when I did, he kept checking his phone. "What are you doing"I asked squinting my eyes. He quickly looked up and mugged me. "Damn nosey ass"he said and put his phone down. Bitch. We soon arrived at rehearsals. Gil got out while I stayed in for a while. Just then the door opened and I felt someone sit beside me. Then a familiar sent hit my nose. I looked to my side with wide eyes. "Toni?"I asked in pure shock.

Toni's Pov
I told Janet I was coming to meet her on the day of the show but I lied. I'm actually in Oregon right now. I've been texting Gil to let me know when they would arrive at rehearsals. Obviously I made it there before them.  I parked a few cars down from them. I walked to theirs and waited for Gil to get out. They didn't see me because the windows are tinted. "I better get rewarded for this. you know her ass nosey as hell"Gil said getting out and walking towards the entrance. I shook my head and got in the car. Janet was all in her phone. Then she looked up at me with shocked eyes. "Toni"she asked shockingly. I smiled. "Surprise ma"I said laughing. She didn't laugh or smile. But instead she slapped me. "You ass, you lied to me"she said. I know this lady ain't slap me.  I sucked in a breath and grabbed her throat. Janet's Pov
Rehearsals went for about at least 5 hours. I'm exhausted and hungry. "Ok guys we're finished for today, great work. See you guys for the show"I said dismissing them. I'm not the one to keep them here everyday until a show. If they're sore and tired and I see that they are, they asses is going home and get sleep and soak if they have to. Once they all were out, including Gil, I met up with Toni outside. She grabbed my hand and guided me to her truck. I guess Joey knew I was gonna leave with her. I got in her truck while she went on the other side also getting in. She started it and drove off. I turned to look at her and ran my hand down the back of her hair. "You hungry ma"she asked. Damn I didn't eat all day. "Not really"I said. Toni gave me a look and pulled into the Mcdonalds drive thru. She pulled up to the window and ordered. For her a big mac meal and for me, fries. A large at that. She knows me so well. We got the food and Toni paid. I silently ate my fries while Toni smacked loud as hell on that damn burger. Big ass. I shook my head and looked out the window.  Soon we pulled up back at the hotel. Toni got out the truck and carried me out. She threw our trash then handed her keys to the valet. "Better take care of my truck, nigga"she said to the man. He's black so of course she's gonna say nigga. She walked in ignoring everyone's stares. Y'all never seen someone carry their girlfriend, like damn. Minutes passed from waiting for the elevator to us entering my room. Toni locked the door and immediately pushed me towards the bed. "Take them clothes off ma"she instructed. Listening to her, I stripped out of clothing and laid on the bed leaning back on my arms.
