(Lance)
It had been a few minutes already since Jireh had saved Mikee and stormed to the room. Mikee still seemed to be passed out. Bill had dragged him to the side and laid a mat he got from one of the lockers for Mikee to lie on.
Lance still had a sense of disbelief. Everything happened so fast. Screams were taking over the school and he couldn't believe that fucking "zombies" we're the main reason. What seemed to be just an intrusive thought every now and then was actually happening.
Lance and everyone in the friend group were all together except Jed, Joseph, and Mikee who he knew had come down to the ground floor. Next thing he knew everyone was panicking and trying to get out of the rooms. Everyone seemed to have the thought that getting out of the school was the best course of action.
Everyone in the group was about to do the same thing until it was EJ who acted fast and urged everyone to get into their classroom. Once they had entered the room everyone else in it was already out. The panic and adrenaline had showered everyone else and caused them to go out in a rush.
If it weren't for EJ's lead and quick thinking, who knows if anyone of them would still have lived. He was surprised as well at the fact that Joseph and Jed were still alive, let alone Mikee who everyone were losing hope for until Joseph had urged that they go look for him outside.
Every tiny decision mattered here and it was a miracle that every decision they have thought of had come to their favor.
Lance scanned the classroom they were and not everyone was joined in their morals and mindsets. On one side of the room there was people just talking and trying to make sense of the whole situation. Nhiel was trying to comfort Junnalaine, Lee and Vj seemed to be talking about something, Andy looked the most panicked as JC was trying to comfort her.
Lance looked by the door and had seen that Kirk and Amissha were trying to barricade it as much as possible. Amissha splashed some water on the window attached to the door and covered it with paper she got from a notebook she found at one of the arm chairs.
Lance looked further left to see that there was a commotion of ideals happening. Lance walked closer and started hearing the words that came out from different peoples' mouths.
"If we stay here, we're dead in less than a day!" Jireh said vindictively as he was talking directly to EJ. "The best decision we've made so far is the sole move that we stayed here. If we hadn't done that we would be like everyone else. With ripped clothes trying to eat anyone with a sane mind. I will die on the hill that anyone still roaming around outside of a secure room is no longer one of us." EJ stood firm having an opposing opinion to Jireh.
"We can survive here for a bit." Dale backed up EJ's stand. "There's around thirty students staying in this room."
"Thirty-six." Job corrected as he was a part of the classroom they were staying in.
"Thirty six. There's twenty of us. We get the pack lunches of these thirty six students and split it into portions. Doing that will last us days here!" Dale added using hand gestures to persuade Jireh who was the most opposed to staying in one place.
"And what happens after those few days? We wait for a miracle that we get rescued? I promise you what's going on out there is a carnage done by a swarm of tens of thousands of those things. One school, which they probably think is safe because of the locked gates and the instructions given by the mayor, which they don't know has been breached because there isn't any signal getting to us or anywhere is the least of their priorities right now." Jireh still stood with his thoughts not being wavered by Dale and EJ's points.
Lance was torn. Both had good points. He wasn't sure which he would lean to as he knew that they would probably come to a point where they would ask for a vote on the course of action.
