chapter one - lucky survival

Abbie would fall backward, onto the rooftop. He Scrambled to his feet whilst holding his side, bruised all over. "W-why..?" He said, looking at his attackers. "Oh, its just business.. you owed our boss somethin, and honestly, she's tired of waitin." One of the Goons said, drawing a pistol. "Pay up." "F-fine, fuck.." Abbie would pull out his wallet, tossing it toward the Goons "in there s-should be more than enough to cover whatever it is..." Abbie would back away, towards the edge of the rooftop.

"Great, but bad news, Boss gave us specific instructions to kill you." The goon said, aiming his pistol and firing it without warning. The bullet would Hit Abbie's shoulder, making him yell in pain as he fell off the building, and into a dumpster, breaking his fall for the most part. "Agh, you hit his shoulder you dumbass!" The other goon said. "Dont worry, there is no way he survived the fall. Back inside, we have to clear the witnesses." The first Goon said, heading back inside.

Around 10 hours later, Abbie wakes up in the Paper City hospital, bandages around the area in which the bullet hit. "F-fuck, where am I?"  Abbie said, attempting to sit up but only feeling sore in his sides "agh..!"  Soon, a doctor walked into the room "ah, sir, you're awake. You are lucky the man who found you did what he did, you were likely gonna bleed out." The doctor said, "you're fine for the most part. Why were you in a dumpster..? Can you recall?" ".. I was working my usual job, at this nice bar.. we were closin up, and these goons rush in and two of em take me up to the roof, they threaten me, take my wallet, and then shoot me off the building.." Abbie explained, looking at the doctor. "Oh, well sir, you should be fine, a bandage change and then you just need to take it easy for a week or so, okay?" The doctor said. Abbie would nod. After about an hour, Abbie was given his suit and was let free, still alive. "Shit, i gotta know what those assholes did to my workplace.." Abbie said, beginning the walk to his work.

When he arrived, he found police tape, and the one thing inside he saw was the chalk outline of a body. "No.." Abbie would tear up, a mix of sadness and anger. Those fuckers killed his friends.. "those.. BASTARDS!" He yelled out, punching a sign. "Im not letting this go unpunished.."
