From a young age, people have seen my hidden potential. How great will I become? Earning medals, trophies, awards, and fame.
"Let's congratulate Reinelle for winning first place in the regional math quiz bee," the teacher announced to the whole class with happiness and pride. As soon as she said that, claps and shouts came pouring in.
However, snark remarks can be heard along with it: "Why do we have to still congratulate her?" a girl whispers while clapping sloppily. "We already know she's going to win first place; she doesn't have to shove it into our faces."
Reinelle was dissatisfied with the negative remarks. "I... should've not won. Don't waste your time on them; you know you're greater than them'. After the rain of praises and claps,the lesson resumes until its recess or snack break.
"HEYYY!! OVER HERE, REI-REI!!" A shout from the third table was heard. Reinelle quickly ran to where the shout came from and quickly sat down. "Ei, can you give me a biiiiiiiiittt of your chips??" the person besides her asked. "Naww, never; you're a rich kid, Cero." "Fine." Cero, Reinelle's best friend—although she won't say that—admitted his defeat.
"Anyways, congratulations, by the way," Rosa, Reinelle's best friend interrupted. "Butttt, did you hear what our classmates said?? Those bit-" While talking, she was interrupted by a glare. "Alright, I will stop swearing, for real now," she promised. Rainelle just nodded and then began eating again.
However, the two seem to notice the saddened expression. "I told you that you shouldn't mention it," Cero quietly lectured. "You didn't say anything to me!,brat.." Rosa whispered back with annoyance, hinting at the phrase.
Finally, the lengthy and awkward situation is over. They all headed back to their classrooms since the break was over. Reinelle is still walking with a sullen expression.

Reinelle soon arrived at their house; luckily, it just took a 10-minute walk to get there. As soon as she arrived, she saw her sister, Ranielle, cooking for dinner, while Reinelle, after changing, just flopped herself onto her bed, scrolling.
"MOP THE FLOOR, REI!!" Ranielle shouted from the kitchen. "WAIT!" she hurriedly turned off her phone and rushed to grab the mop.
While mopping the floor, Reinelle sees her sister cooking while washing the dishes. 'I wish I was just as useful as her; I wish I was more than just brains.' Reinelle repeated the same phrases she thinks of every time she sees her sister do the chores.
'FINALLY!! I'm done with the chores! ' she happily thought while slowly walking into her room. "Oh, Rei, go buy a tub of ice cream here," Rainelle stated while handing her the money. Reinelle just stared in disbelief, but agress anyway—who doesn't like ice cream??.
When Reinelle arrived, she was disturbed by her mother's seemingly angry voice. "Why did you leave the pot you're supposed to look at and were supposed to eat unattended?" Deniel angrily spoke. "I don't care; I don't want to eat anyway!" Ranielle spoke back while locking herself up. Reinelle put the ice cream on the table before going back to her room, feeling both anger and sorrow.

"I told you so many times that you shouldn't take care of your father! It's just a waste of time! Why not let your siblings take care of him so you could focus on your own family more?!" Reigh,Reinelle's father shouted towards his wife. "You don't know about my feelings! He's my father, you bastard!" Deniel hurriedly spoke, her voice full of contempt.
'Ugh, I wish I had headphones so I didn't have to hear their worthless conversation. Why couldn't they communicate properly?? Are they not adults?? or are they not mature yet??? ', Reinelle thought while covering her ears and abusing them so it would temporarily lose its ability.
A loud noise of a door closing and crying noises soon emerged. 'Oh my god, why can't they just divorce each other? It's tiring and irritating living with them; they failed as parents; now they failed as a married couple? disappointment really,' Reinelle secretly slandered.
'Why even married each other if you two hate each other? For fudge sake! Arghhh! They won't let me sleep! Fine, I'll just scroll on Tiktak all day..'
While scrolling on Tiktak, she sees Rosa dancing happily with Sol. Although she's supposed to be supportive to her friend, she feels jealousy. Why is her friend being with someone when she's just right there,waiting? 'idk what to feel...'
She just ended up ignoring the video and scrolling down. With a mixture of feelings bothering her. 'Why can't i just be a good friend? Instead of being jealous... She deserves someone better than me.'
'I just probably NEED sleep, goodnight to my imaginary friend Riagh i guees.' Reinelle charges her phone and went to bed.
