As Ram stepped towards Priya, he couldn’t help but feel a swell of emotions coursing through him. He watched her in the mirror, the way her skin glowed in the soft light, and the vulnerability in her eyes as she gaze into his.

His heart raced as he felt the warmth of her back against his fingertips. There was a weight to his affection, a gravity that seemed to pull him closer to her.

Ram wanted to hold her, to kiss her, to tell her how deeply he loved her. However, the fact that they hadn't spoken about their feelings yet cautioned him. He didn’t want to overwhelm her or make her feel pressured.

Wearing a faint smile, his wife turned around and murmured, "Thank you."

A few locks of hair fell across her face, stirring something deep within him and awakening the feelings he had just buried. His fingers itched, and he took a step closer, reaching for her hair. He tucked it behind her ear, lingering for a moment to absorb the feel of her skin.

As Priya kept her gaze fixed on his, she swallowed, her lips parting slightly, just enough to heighten his emotions. He had an urge to—

Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted them. After he acknowledged it, one of the Taruns stepped into their bedroom with a parcel.

"What is this?' Priya furrowed her brow, already assuming he had spent too much on something when he didn’t even know what was in the box.

"I don’t have x-ray vision," he scoffed. "I’ll have to check."

It was the sari-making kit he had asked Bri to get for Priya.

"A sari-making kit? For Vedika?"

Seriously? He glared at her. Just a moment ago, they had shared something special, which she clearly didn’t seem to remember.

Why does she drag Vedika into everything? Why can’t she think I would have bought this for her?

"Oh, yes! I got her an outfit for an event she won’t be attending," he mocked.

Priya rolled her eyes.

"I didn’t…" he added, clarifying. "But I can, if I want to."

"Of course. Your money. Spend it on whoever you want," she taunted.

Ram sighed and tossed the box onto the bed. "I'm leaving it here… whoever wants it can take it…" he muttered as he left the room.

He paused outside the door, his gaze lingering on her wrist. It appeared bare without the other bangle. In that moment, he resolved to give her the matching piece soon, and perhaps even confess his feelings.

I understand the parts aren't long many times but since this story is written in alternate povs, and when I feel it's important, I break the plot—even if it's really short—to not miss anyone's feeling.
