I sat up with a start, my heart racing like a wild stag. That blasted pixie, Sae, was hovering inches from my face, her piercing green eyes gleaming with mischief. I let out a string of curses, my voice barely above a whisper. "Bloody pixie...what in the name of all that's divine are you doing ? Trying to scare the life out of me?" I glared at her, my hand on my chest, feeling my heart still racing from the sudden fright. She just chuckled, her laughter like the tinkling of tiny bells, and flitted away, leaving me to catch my breath.

I sauntered back into the room, feeling like a whole new person after my bath. My blue gown was simple yet elegant, and I was ready to take on the day. Or so I thought. Sae was waiting for me, breakfast in hand, and a gaze that could pierce through steel. I mean, I'm flattered and all, but a person can only take so much staring. It was like she was trying to burn a hole through my soul.

I tried to break the silence, asking her if she'd eaten, but she just gave me a blank stare and replied, "You look weird." Yeah, no kidding, I thought.

I offered her some bread, because sharing is caring, right? But she declined with a nod and a cheerful "Me eat bugs!" Yeah, that's not reassuring. I pulled my hand back, thinking, "Well, I guess we won't be having a picnic together anytime soon." I mean, I'm trying to be open-minded, but bugs? Really? That's just not my cup of tea. I'll stick to my toasted bread and honey, thank you very much.

But despite the awkwardness, I couldn't help but be fascinated by Sae's quirky nature.

Sae took my hand, her grip surprisingly soft for such a creature. "Me show you the palace," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. I couldn't help but be charmed by her kindness, despite her sharp teeth and bug-munching habits.

As we strolled out of the palace, I noticed something odd - there was no one around. No guards, no servants, no court jesters (not that I'd expect any, but still). "Where is everyone?" I asked Sae, feeling a bit spooked.

She replied with a shrug, "No stay here." Great, that cleared things up. I wondered why I was the only human allowed to stay in this vast, empty palace. It was like being the sole guest in a haunted hotel.

As we explored the palace, I realized that its enormity was just an illusion. Apart from Emilix's chamber, there were only five libraries (because one can never have too many books, apparently) and a few rooms. I began to suspect that the palace was actually a cleverly designed dollhouse.

As we watched the fountain in the courtyard, Sae poked me with her finger, her eyes shining with mischief. She swung her leg shyly and adjusted her hair, looking like a pixie version of a teenage girl. "Me tell a riddle," she said, her sharp teeth glinting in the sunlight.

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, this should be good. Go ahead, Sae."

She grinned, her pointed teeth making her look like a miniature vampire.

"Hmmm, listen close, me say,
A thing that's light as a feather, yet even the strongest can't hold it for long, you see.
'Tis a mystery, a wonder, a puzzle to unravel,
What am me, that's both fleeting and fragile, like a... like a... oh, you'll see!

I thought for a moment, then admitted my defeat. "I give up, Sae. You win. I'm a weird-looking human who can't solve pixie riddles."

Sae burst into laughter, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "A breathe!" she exclaimed, clearly delighted with herself. "Me win!"she says with much joy.

I chuckled, shaking my head, impressed. "Well done, Sae. You're a pixie puzzle master."

Someone arrived at the palace, and Sae flew off to investigate. I followed her, curious about the commotion. Turns out, it was a centaur named Xeraph, bowing to me like I was royalty. I felt a bit awkward, no one had ever shown me such respect before.
