~Author POV~

Y/N placed her Gibson wooden guitar gently on the ground as she finished singing the song. Her eyes shifted to her two best friends, Sohee and the infamous coconut head, Jungkook. She stared at them intently, eagerly awaiting their feedback. Their silence was unbearable, and she felt a wave of frustration. For fifteen long seconds, she mentally cursed her idiot friends. Realizing this wouldn't change anything, she finally broke the silence.

"Guys, say something". She urged, her voice tinged with impatience.

Her words snapped them back to reality. Had she sung so poorly or so well that they became speechless? Jungkook and Sohee exchanged a look, seemingly communicating telepathically. Finally, Jungkook spoke up.

"It wasn't good enough". He said, maintaining a straight face.

A disappointed, "Oh" escaped her lips.

"Because it was the best!". Jungkook added, breaking into his signature bunny smile.

"Motherfucker". Y/N muttered, grabbing her sandal and hurling it at Jungkook with all her might.

Jungkook dodged the sandal by tilting his head slightly to the left. The sandal hit the wall and bounced back to the floor. Sohee burst into uncontrollable laughter.

"I have another sandal, Sohee. Want me to throw it at you too? " Y/N threatened, irritated by Sohee's laughter.

"Ahh, Y/N, I'm so sorry! We were just messing around". Sohee said, trying to stifle her laughter.

"Look, you guys always mess around, and I never say anything. But this time, I need a serious review. I have a damn freaking interview tomorrow". Y/N said, her eyes reflecting her seriousness.

"Okay, trust me, dear, you actually slayed! When you hit that octave, it was indeed magical". Jungkook spoke sincerely.

"Jungkook is right, Y/N. You'll ace it! Even if you don't get selected, the judges will be captivated by your voice". Sohee reassured her.

"But I'm feeling nervous, guys. I have this nagging feeling that I won't make it". Y/N confessed, her anxiety evident.

Jungkook stepped closer and gently patted her head. His soft, large hands caressed her hair, offering comfort. After a moment, he spoke again.

"Y/N, you're worrying over nothing. Be confident in yourself and your voice. We believe in you more than we believe in ourselves". He said, his words soothing her soul.

She felt a wave of assurance and faith wash over her. Even if the entire world is against her, her two best friends will always be by her side. This bond, forged by pure love and friendship, is unbreakable. She looked at Jungkook with adoration and finally spoke.

"I never knew this coconut head could be so good at comforting someone". She teased, though her eyes reflected her genuine affection.

A blush crept onto Jungkook's cheeks. "Are you pulling my legs?". He asked, flustered.

He was undeniably adorable, like a fluffy Japanese cotton cake with a honey banana smoothie on top, garnished with blueberries. His dark brown hair framed his forehead like hanging plants in a handmade basket. His big eyes sparkled like tapioca pearls coated in maple syrup. His upper lip was thin with a perfect cupid's bow, while his lower lip was slightly fuller. His coral pink lips were glossy, and a few black moles adorned his delicate skin. (Oh God, I've actually slayed with this description of Jungkook uwwuu😍)  Y/N was so lost in observing his features that she forgot about her audition. Jungkook's voice snapped her back to reality.
