Breakfast.
Nagising ako sa amoy na galing sa labas ng kwarto. Ang bango — nakakagutom. Kaya napabangon na ako.
But.
I videocall my parents before i start my day here in London.
Nasa living room sina Mama at Mommy. They just finish dinner. Kaya nagrerelax nalang sila.
"Bihis na bihis ka ata." Napansin agad ni Momm ang attire ko.
I dress in a skirt and sleeveless pero mag susuot naman ako ng jacket dahil paiba iba ang weather dito. "Mamasyal po kami ni Amanda today."
"Mag-iingat but enjoy alright?" Paalala ni Mommy Ginger.
I give her flying kiss. "I will Ma."
"At kumain sa tamang oras."Dagdag nya.
Natawa ako. "Ang hirap dito Ma, wala masyadong rice. Puro patatas, pizza at pasta."
"Yan talaga ang unang adjustment na dapat mong gawin kapag tumira ka overseas." Pagsingit ni Mama Reese.
"Wala naman po akong balak." Nagsuklay ako ng buhay. "Mas okay parin sa Pilipinas —"
"Leslie." Boses ni Amanda sa labas ng kwarto ko. "Breakfast is ready."
"Sige na kumain na." Sabi ni Mama sakin.
"At magpahinga narin po kayo dyan." Paalala ko sa parents ko. "Goodnight Mommies!" At nilapit ko sa mukha ko ang cellphone as i slightly kiss the screen. "Mwah!"
We bid oir goodbyes.
I check myself for one last time bago lumabas ng kwarto na bitbit ang shoulder bag at kamera.
Sa kusina.
Yong fubu ni Amanda agad ang nakita ko, nakaupo na sya at nagkakape. He looks nice kaya hindi ako na intimidate.
" Good morning." Pagbati ko sa kanya.
He smil at me. "Hey ya good morning."
Umupo ako two chairs away from him. "Mm where is Amanda?"
"I'm here." At sumulpot si Amanda kasunod si Sadie sabay lundag sakin. "Kinuha ko ang dineliver na milk."
Uso pa pala delivery ng gatas dito.
Hinaplos ko si Sadie. "Good morning to you too baby Sadie."
And she give me kisses.
Binigyan ko din si Sadie ng pagkain para makasabay sya sa breakfast.
"You really spoiled her." Natatawa na sabi ni Amanda.
Kumuha ako ng slice bread at egg. "I love her."
I would love to buy her some staff and food. Ambag ko narin para sa kanila Amanda.
"Anyway Leslie, this is Chad." Pakilala ni Amanda sa friends with benefits nya.
At tumingin ako kay Chad. "Hello."
"I'm Chad." And he offer me a hand shake.
I gladly take it and quickly pull my hand back. "Are you joining our tour in London Eye later?"
"Yes." Nakangiti nyang sagot sakin. "Would love that."
"I invited him." Amanda added.
