Jisung and Seungmin were now trying to stand up, trying their best to not make a sound. Their movements were easy, slow.
They opened the top of the basket and made their way into the large bars. They were a bit wide and only a little flat.
Being as steady as possible. They were able to make their way to a beam that one of the aliens broke, but after looking at it for a while you could see that it lead to the ground. But... it would be tricky.
In the middle of the pole, there were screws and thorns, so, going down would be a hassle. They didn't bring any bandages or alcohol, and Jisung didn't need anyone getting infected.
But if someone had to, he was going to willing take those chances.
Jisung turned to Seungmin and started telling him what the plan was going to be. What he had been thinking about this whole time. Trying to see if it sounded stupid when he wasn't ONLY talking to himself.
'Ok... you see that pole over there?"
"M-mhm" Seungmin hummed lowly, his nod, being more loud than the sound he dangerously made.
His eyes were squinted, as he kept looking down from where we were and he would immediately close them, easing his head back straight ahead, and up.
'I'll slide down once-'
' WHAT '
'What?'
'You can't do that'
'And why not'
'Because... you just can't'
'Well if I don't then we'll be stuck up here.'
'Then let's be stuck! All we have to do is be quiet and we'll be fine!' Seungmin signed, being OVERLY happy with the most stupidest idea that just popped up in his tiny brain.
Jisung just stared at him for a while before finally signing again.
'No' after he said that, he made his way to the pole, and in the middle of wrapping one of his legs around the pole, he felt someone grab his hand.
He first got a bit startled because after he told Seungmin that he would not stay up there and just... be, he hadn't been paying any attention to him that much.
He was about to screen, not knowing who grabbed his arm, but immediately remembering what kind of situation they were in, he just turned his head.
And there was Seungmin.
'Please' he begged eyes filling up with tears. As much as Jisung wanted to give up, walk all the way back to the basket, pull the top over, get back on the ground and let Seungmin use him as a safe space, like earlier, all for him... he just started into Seungmins eyes, telling him that he wasn't going to listen to him.
After staring at each other, Seungmin shed his first tear since they got out of the basket, and signed to his best friend.
'Be. Safe.... Just-... promise me.. you'll be safe'
Jisung thought about the promise his friend wanted him to make. He never thought breaking promises was such a cute thing to do.. to anyone at that, so he'd hate the idea even more if he were to break a promise he made to his best friend. Who was like a brother to him.
He finally looked back into Seungmins eyes after thinking abt what to say. What to promise, and how.
'I can promise that I'll try to be safe. But there is no knowing if I actually will be. But if I am, once I'm down there, I'll find an easier and safer way down for you to take.'
Seungmin blinked a few times letting the tears uncontrollably fall. Jisung took his hand and latched it on Seungmins wrist, pulling him closer, just to kiss his forehead and smile at him, before ruffling his hair and starting to slide down.
Seungmin just watched from where he stood, not moving at all, looking down, and having all the tears fall from his eyes.
It hurt, that he couldn't cry loudly.
