"Silent Shadows: The Hidden Truth"

Part 3

Zaiden arrive home at 3:30 p.m. but his mother wasn't home. She comes back home at 4:00 p.m. so that means Zaiden still had 30 minutes. He got to his room, sat on his bed cause there was nothing else to do for him. He didn't have a homework for today.

"What should I do? Yeah, maybe I should write something. Sounds good" Zaiden thought.

He took out his journel from his bag and grab a pen. Zaiden open the journel.

"What am I suppose to write. About Veronica.... Uhh ..... Maybe not. I guess the Park. I love that place." Zaiden thought.

"In the realm of nature's embrace,
Where trees whisper secrets, flowers, grace,
A park blooms with lilies, roses, tulips so fair,
By a lake serene, swings in the air.

Colors dance, a vibrant display,
Natures canvas in full array,
Lily's elegance, roses sweet scent,
Tulip's beauty, a vision heaven scent.

Reflecting in the lake's shimmering seen,
Swings by the water, a childhood dream,
In this park of beauty, joy takes flight,
A heaven of peace, a pure delight."

He wrote remembering all of the beautiful memories he had for the park. He closed the journel and walked downstairs that's when he heard the front door open.

"Zaid I'm home." A familiar voice came.

Zaiden ran to the door and his mother came in view. Mrs. Forrest smiled at him.

"How are you mom?" He ask.

"I'm fine. How was your day? Wait don't tell me you got detention again..." She asked again when he didn't answer.

"I... Uhm.. you know..." He tried awkwardly.

"Oh boy! What did you do this time?" She asked entering the kitchen.

"You wouldn't believe mom I got selected as basketball captain today." He tried to change the topic.

"That's great I knew you'll get selected. I'm proud of you Zaid." His mother kissed his cheek and ruffled his hair. This gesture was done by his father back when he was alive.

"Wait, you little dodger." She said when she realized he changed the subject.

"So you're not going to leave it until I tell you?" He ask and sat on the chair.

"Nope you know that already."

"*Sigh* Alright so today a new girl came in our class and I.... Uh... Got distracted and said something due to which Alto lost control laughing and fell off his seat and then professor gave us detention." He explained without looking at her.

" Okay... Who's that girl? Is she that beautiful? Do you like her? Is she interested in you too?" She asked sitting beside him and facing him.

" I've told you she's new student. She's so beautiful I mean she's a brunette and she have honey eyes. She's indeed so beautiful. I don't know if she's interested in me it was her first day how am I supposed to know." He answered every question calmly because he knew his mother wasn't going to let the topic slip.

"She's your first love." She squeal with excitement and jump out of her seat.

"When are you going to introduce her to me?" She ask

"Mom please." He said

"Okay okay... I'll cook something good today but first I need to take a shower. Oh god it was a long day." She said and left him in his own dreamy world.

After dinner Zaiden went backside of the house with a plate of half cooked meat. And put it on the ground and sat there leaving a little space in between him and the plate. He sat waiting there for a few minutes but nothing came, no one.

He was about to leave when he felt someones presence beside him and saw yellow piercing eyes looking straight at him. A relief set in him.

"Oh! I thought you aren't gonna come today." He said stroking the black cats fur.

Shadowclaw purring in response. Zaiden couldn't get him inside because of his mother; she was allergic from cat's fur. But Zaiden loved cats they were so precious that he couldn't resist them.

He named it 'shadowclaw' because of its black fur and those eyes as if they were holding alot of secrets, as if he could read them and understand those great yellow eyes.

Zaiden sat there admiring the black fur while it was eating it's food. When Shadowclaw finished it came forward and purred against Zaiden' hand which was resting on the ground. And left after a few minutes.

Shadowclaw was lying on the ground in Zaiden's backside garden of the house. When Zaiden saw a black cat in his house garden and hurt he immediately took action and bandaged it with a few medicines which he learned from the Summer camp of school. From that day Zaiden took responsibility to take care of the adorable black fur. He named it 'Shadowclaw' because of it's eyes and black fur. And then on Shadowclaw visited him every single day.

Zaiden stood up and picked the plate off the ground then rushed towards his room. He placed the plate on the counter of his washroom and took off his clothes to take a quick shower. While taking shower he washed his clothes too. He did all that because of his mother who was allergic to the cats fur.

He came out of the washroom with some pants on. There sitting was Alto with a shit eating grin plastered on his face.

"What are you doing here?" He narrowed his eyes on him cause of his sudden appearance.

Alto waved his phone in front of Zaiden face.

"It's something you'll be interested in." He said still the same grin.

Zaiden sit down on his bed beside Alto facing him.

"Really, And what would that be? Probably you found a new girl, right." Zaiden tried to snatch the phone from him.

"Ahmm.. Zaid aren't you going to wear your shirt before I tell you" Alto asked.

"Nah Am good." He said shrugging it off still struggling to snatch the phone.

"But I'm not, go and wear your shirt." Alto reasoned.

Zaiden was still struggling and Alto trying his best to stop him. Zaiden was on top of Alto, his hands trying to snatch the phone but ended up holding Alto's wrist with both hands. His hair were wet and the water was dripping on Alto's face

Alto was underneath him one hand above their heads but the wrist in the hands of Zaiden pulling them down. The other hand placed on Zaiden chest to push him. He was moving his face side by side to be saved from the water dripping from Zaiden's hair.

Alto pushed him off of him and stood up from his bed. Zaiden stood up too. Alto was red as a tomato but Zaiden didn't notice and again jumped on him to get his phone.

"Ok ok calm down big boy I'll tell you just get off me." Alto said from underneath him and Zaiden stood up with a smirk.
