Zaiden Pov,

I stood up with a smirk cause I knew I won. Alto made a weird face as if I was crazy. Well you can say that but only sometimes and for some of the people. Alto fixed his shirt and sat straight he usually do that when he's serious about something. I guess it's more serious than I thought.

"Sometimes I think how do we became best friends." Alto said scrolling through his phone.

"I love you too." I said smiling ear to ear. I love to tease him. And he's the same.

"I'm not gay." He said with a smirk plastered on his face.

I just punched his arm. "So what bring you here at this hour of night? It should be something worth my time." I said with a mature face which he hated. Told you I love to tease him.

"Stop making that face and yeah it's something worth otherwise I wouldn't have been here watching your stupid face." He said.

"Hey!" I feel offended by his words. "We both know you love this stupid face."

"If that makes you sleep tonight that okay." He smirked.

"Anyways, show me what was it." I said getting interested again.

Alto shoved his phone in my face which was now touching my nose. I grabbed it from his to have a clear look.

"She texted me." He simply said.

It was Veronica she was texting Alto but- but why. I scrolled up to see what was the text. Now don't you dare to say that 'what about his privacy' if we cared about each others privacy we wouldn't be best friends. She was texting him to get my number, wait what?

"I don't know how she got my number by she just texted me to ask for your number." Alto said looking at my confuse face.

"But how did she got your number." I was still confuse and yes maybe a little hurt too. Alto saw through me and replied.

"Maybe cause I'm famous." He shrugged and replied matter of factly.

"True." I said.

"I just came here to tell you she was texting me and wants your number. I didn't answered her just wanted to ask you if I should give her your number." He was unsure

I hummed. "But she could have ask me in school tomorrow." I said staring at the wall.

"Maybe she wanted to surprise you or prank you." He said enthusiasm dripping from every word.

"Yeah, Blind leading another blind." I sarcastically shot at him.

Alto laughed and I joined him he said he's just leaving and he'll send my number to her and I agreed.

He left after few minutes and I fell to my bed. I got under my blanket to get some warmth It was a little cold at night here. I don't know why she texted him cause she could have asked me tomorrow at school nevermind she must have some reason behind it.

Zaiden was thinking about her and didn't realize when sleep took him. He slept a peaceful sleep.

At midnight Zaiden woke up with alot of sweat and breathing heavily. He had a nightmare. He rarely gets any nightmares and was usually about his father.

But this time it was different.

Zaiden closed his eyes and put his hand on his chest to normal his breathing. He couldn't believe what he saw he was still in shock.

He got out of bed and made his way downstairs to grab a glass of water. He was now heading to the kitchen but his mother room door was apart and light was coming out. It was weird because his mother wasn't a person who would stay awake for long he was convinced something's wrong so instead of the kitchen he made his was to his mother's room. He stopped a step back from the door so that his mother don't see his shadow lean on the wall and listened if there was any sound coming out. When he didn't hear anything.

He thought maybe his mother forgot to turn off the light so he peaked inside and he saw his mother sleeping on the bed she had wet cheeks which showed that she cried herself to sleep and there were papers scattered on the bed and a pen too. He made a mental note to ask her in the morning. And walked inside the room to turn of the lights.

In all of that he forgot his nightmare then again he made his way to the kitchen and took a water bottle to his room.

Reaching his room he sat on the bed and drank half of the bottle. He fell on the bed and again fell asleep.
