The bullet flew proudly towards the girl to take her life and I began cursing my luck when I saw the same Bangboo who had previously hidden behind the pink-haired girl jump in front of the bullet. He was pierced through and through, but his body changed the trajectory just enough so that the girl remained unharmed in any way.

"Proxy!" I raised an eyebrow the first time I heard her raise her voice.

"Damn it!" the pink-haired one shouted, firing a series at me from her suitcase. "What's wrong with you?!" she asked venomously. "You shouldn't be protecting more than shooting at innocent people!"

I looked at her as if I were looking at an idiot, maybe because I was.

"Where do you see an innocent person here?!" I asked, jumping to a nearby building as the one I stood on collapsed under the weight of bullets. "I only see a few armed criminals who don't know their place."

I loaded a nine-round magazine.

"Oh, and Amby, a little tip—I wouldn't try to break free from that ice!" I yelled at her from behind cover. "You could lose your arm in the process!"

_Huh okay, on three._

I told myself mentally.

_One._

...

...

...

_Two._

...

...

...

_Three._

I leaped from my position and immediately began scanning for enemies. Bill still lay motionless, and I couldn't see the pink-haired girl. I glanced towards where Amby had been frozen and... damn it.

"Die," I heard a sweet voice just meters away from me, which was very bad news for me.

**PTSZ**

I raised the Magnum, which stopped her blade before it could cut me in half. Wrestling with her as she tried with all her might to break my feeble defense, I glanced at her leading hand, which had been covered in ice before. The hand looked perfectly fine now, its porcelain skin gleaming, showing that the ice had only frozen her clothes.

"What bullshit," I muttered, struggling, before the girl took advantage of her superior position and kicked me off the roof with a half-turn.

"Whaasaaa!" I yelled manfully as I began to fall from a considerable height.

_Think, think, think, how do I save myself?_

I thought, or rather tried to think, as I fell towards my death.

_Huh, I won't come up with anything, I'll just become a doctor in my next life._

With that thought, I closed my eyes, preparing for impact.

"Phew," air rushed out of my lungs as suddenly my body changed trajectory from 'down to my death' to 'sideways in the arms of a beautiful woman'. "Oh, Miss Yuan, you have no idea how nice it is to see you," I said to the beautiful woman who was sitting on top of me.

"Officer," she said calmly to me, which in itself was a bad sign given the situation. "What did I say about the need for knowledge when to call for backup?"

I shrugged, trying not to look into her red eyes that seemed to pierce into my soul.

"Um, I mean," I tried to find words and not blush at her proximity. "I'm a one-man army?" I said uncertainly.
