       Emily's POV

"What gives Helen" I said to the brown haired brunette who just splashed water on my face.

"Just waking you up from your dream" she says and I can't help but roll my eyes.

"Don't even try looking for a brain back there" she says as we make our way to my car.

My beautiful Toyota Camry SE was parked gracefully at a parking lot. I get into the car and so does Helen. The car roars to life and I start to drive on the main road.

"What were you talking about earlier" I asked curiously while she tried to fix her makeup in the front seat.

"Now ya wanna know" She said with sarcasm laced in her voice. I nod and she goes on.

"I was talking about my childhood friend who just came back yesterday"

"Oh your crush, Darren, OMG why didn't you tell me he was back" I was surprised.

"That's what I tried telling ya. I'm thinking he might want a visit" I laugh as I realize the choice of outfit today.

"That's why you're dressed up today. I knew something was up"

"Oh shut up what do you know, you've never even met him before"

Her words hit me hard. I never thought about that. I've never actually met Darren. I've only heard Helen talk about him every day. About how good he looks, how his voice is like honey. She talks a lot and I know this guy means a lot to her. You can see it from the way she talks about him.

He's Isabella's son. I've met her a few times, she is a very young spirited lady. I was shocked when I heard Darren was her son. She is so young, she wasn't naive either though.

"I can't still believe he's back" she murmurs to herself which I clearly heard.

"It's been like what, three years?" I tying her hopes down a bit. Even though I knew she loved him blindly, I still had to remind her that it's been three fucking years without contact and she can't just expect him to still love her.

I park the car at Starbucks parking lot and got down from the car. We walk into the entrance and I hear Helen say

"I'm not that naive to think he still feels the same way, but I need to see him. It's been so long" Helen sighs hitting the car.

"Speak of the devil" I said gesturing to Isabella who was talking to a waiter.

Helen was quick to greet her and take the seat opposite her.
"Emily, why are you still standing. Come and take a seat" She said patting the seat beside her.

"Don't worry I came to drop Helen off, I have some things to sort out" I said to the beautiful young lady.

Her smile was gorgeous, and her blue eyes were sparkling with so much joy.
All in all, she seemed happier than most times we saw her.
"Bye then" I heard her voice from the back as I retreated back to my car.

     Hope y'all love Em💖
