Hello! wow I haven't posted on here in a while but Descendants "the rise of red" came out today and I watched it for the fun of it and the characters looked cool. First off I miss the original franchise so much I was obsessed with it as as a kid, I had everything to the wigs and costumes to the books to the cds and I knew the movies word for word. The movies and characters will always keep a special place in my heart. because well they made up my childhood! I grew up with descendants but I am older now and I understand it has been over 5 years since Cameron passed and they want to move on with the series. I still love descendants, even though I grew out of it doesn't mean I still don't love it. But besides that I love that they brought back Uma and Fairy Godmother. Even though it's only two characters it's still great. Second I love how they included Carlos in the movie, I miss his character so much and I know it was definitely hard for them to mention him and also they put his picture up to honor him in the movie also.  But moving on I liked the songs and the plot in the movie. There is a plot hole in the movie that has been driving me crazy, like we never got to get into some of the other characters stories and how some couples got together like Mal's parents.

Red and her mom kind of had a relationship like Mal and her mom and I think thats what they were trying to do is make a new mother and daughter relationship but instead with Mal and her mom where we never really saw there relationship evolve, we saw Red and her mom at the end and it was nice to see. I also loved the characters I loved Chloe and Bridget they were so pretty. and I loved how they went back in time to stop the prank and to make Reds mom good again and we even saw the old characters parents like Hook and Maleficent. and they also mentioned chad and the others vks at the beginning of the movie. Again the plot was good I think they didn't want to get too carried away with it since everyone loved the old movies so much. Watching the movie  was definitely nostalgic for me. I have to say I do like the songs better in the old movies then now, don't get me wrong I do like the songs but come on the old songs were so iconic and amazing that you can never replace them.

No I don't think they are trying to replace the old movies and I get it it's Disney and you have to move on at some point and they did a great job with it. What are your thoughts on this movie and the change? let me know!
