The bell above the door jingled again, a sound that filled Aster with anticipation and the thrill of meeting new people. It had been a week since the tall, dark-haired man had visited her shop. To her surprise, he stepped through the door again, looking a little more confident this time.
"Good morning, welcome back," Aster greeted him, her voice warm and welcoming. "How did your date go?"
The man, Liam, as she had learned during their last conversation, smiled sheepishly. "It went well, thanks to your beautiful bouquet. I'm here to get another one."
Aster's heart fluttered slightly. "I'm glad to hear that. So, what's the occasion this time?"
"Another date," Liam admitted, looking around the shop. "But with someone new."
Aster raised an eyebrow but quickly hid her surprise with a smile. "Alright then. Any particular flowers in mind, or should I help you choose again?"
"Could you help me again? I really liked the way you put together the last bouquet."
Aster nodded, leading him to the section of the shop where the freshest blooms were displayed. "Of course. Let's see... for a new date, how about something that symbolizes new beginnings and joy? Daisies are always a good choice, and they pair nicely with roses, which convey romance."
As she arranged the flowers, Liam watched her intently. "You really know a lot about flowers," he said, his tone filled with admiration.
Aster blushed slightly. "I grew up with them. This shop was my grandmother's. She taught me everything I know."
"That sounds wonderful," Liam said. "It must be nice to work in a place that's so meaningful to you."
Aster nodded, her hands moving deftly as she added a sprig of baby's breath to the bouquet. "It is. I love helping people express their feelings through flowers. It's like sharing a part of myself with each customer."
Liam smiled, feeling a growing fondness for the kind florist. "I think that's what makes your bouquets so special."
Aster finished the arrangement and handed it to Liam. "Here you go. I hope it helps make your date special."
"Thank you, Aster," Liam said sincerely. "I really appreciate your help."
As he left the shop, Aster watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions. She was happy to have helped him again, but a small part of her couldn't help but wonder why he was seeing so many different girls. She shook off the thought, reminding herself that it wasn't her business.
