"Karter baby what's wrong ? What happened?"I asked as me and Zac ran into her room to see her on the floor crying uncontrollably.
"No...NO...no""She kept saying repeatedly as I grabbed her wrapping my arms around her body as she shook.Zac right beside me.
"Babygirl please tall us what's wrong so we can fix it."Zac said softly looking concerned.
"They shot him mama he's gone they killed him!"She said breaking down more in my arms as I looked at Zac.
"Who babygirl?"Zac said as she cried more before finally saying it.
"Leon he-he's gone."She said as I looked a Zac sadly.I couldn't wrap my head around on why someone would kill Leon.He was a good kid with is much potential.I was brung out of my thoughts by Karter wheezing.
"Karter baby you have to breathe or your going to have an asthma attack baby...look I know its hurts princess bit I need you to calm down just a little...look you feel my heartbeat?"I said grabbing her hand putting it on my chest as she nodded quickly still wheezing. "Look at me baby I need you to copy my breathing can you do that for me?"I said as she nodded again inhaling and exhaling till her breathing got back to normal as she continued crying whilst I tried to calm her down.

"I'll sleep in here tonight and call off work tomorrow she's not going to school...you can go ahead get ready for bed and cool off ill handle everything here."'I told Zac as I closed Karter's bed room door slightly.I had gotten her to calm down enough to get in the bed but I knew she would be up all night.
"You sure?I can call off as well"He said as I shook my head
"No baby go to work besides she doesn't need too many people surrounding her at the moment. I love you."I said as I kissed him.
"I love you more."He said walking down the hall to our room as I turned to walk into the room stopping before getting into the bed taking my outside clothes off knowing its something Karter hated.I then got into the bad making sure to hold her.
"I can't mama..."Karter said lowly as her voice broke.
"I know baby I know."I said kissing her forehead as she cried in my arms.
