I roll my suitcases outside of the airport and call Ayliah to let her know I have landed. "Hey Lia , I'm outside the airport but I can't see you" "Genni, I'm pulling up right now in a black Tesla" "Okay, I'm looking for your car".
I then see a black Tesla drive towards the pavement and honk their horn. "Genni, get in" "Okay I'm coming". I place my suitcases in her boot and greet her with a hug. "You look so young" "Please you are only one year older than me" I laugh at her silly comment. Lia starts the engine and i look outside to see the cars driving by. I remember to text my mum that I have landed.

"Genni, how is auntie?" "She is doing good now, I just hope she will be okay" "I'm sure she will, but on a brighter note your accent is hella strong" she then mocks my accent. "Can I have a bol'of'wata" she busts out laughing. "Lia that did not eatt, i don't even sound like that" "Yes you do, hella posh". I roll my eyes whilst laughing at her, I hope that's the last time I hear something like that.

"Genni we are outside, you're such a deep sleeper" "Please Lia I have to sleep my stress and nerves away" "Oh you will be fine, we are not even in the hood hood like that" "Okay Lia, i believe you", side eyeing her as I let out a yawn. I get out of the car and take my suitcases out of the boot and follow her up to her house.
"Make yourself at home, your bedroom is on the first right upstairs" "Thanks so much sis, i appreciate it" "No worries, you're family!" Lia helped me take my suitcases to my room and I plopped down on the bed thinking about how weird life is going to be now.
"Enough dwelling in past, let me make myself comfortable", I began to unpack my clothes in the closet. Once I finished that I moved onto my accessories and putting that in the drawers, then I put away my toiletries in the bathroom.
"Genni, i'm ordering wingstop what do you want", Lia shouted from downstairs. "Can I have Louisiana rub tenders, voodoo fries and a Dr Pepper please", I shouted my order to her from my room. "Okay genni".
Once the wingstop arrives, Lia enters my room holding the food. "Here you go, let's talk" "Thanks Lia" "How do you feel, you're in new territory", Lia asks as she smacks on her food. "Lia the food is not running away, but girl I feel weird, I don't know what to expect" I say shrugging my shoulders. "Genni, not too much on me. But you will be fine. You know me and the girls are here for you. Oh and tomorrow we are going to our friends lil' kickback"
"You guys have fun then!" "Genni, keyword 'WE' are going and you can't say no, okay!" "Hm okay Lia you win this one" "Well, enjoy your food. I have to go call my man", Lia gets up from my bed and heads for the door. "My man?? You're so bad", Genni starts laughing. "Genni, shut the hell up" Lia raises her middle finger as she leaves the room. "Ouuu, put it down", Genni bursts out laughing as well as Lia as she walks down the hallway.

RING RING RING
I reach over to stop my alarm, then I quickly stretch and get out of bed. I lay my bed and afterwards go to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. Walking into my closet, I pick out my african print dress to wear in the meantime.
"Hey Lia" "Hey Genni, how was your sleep?" "It was good, but I'm so hungry" Lia begins to quietly sing "big back big back". "Huh! Lia speak up, I can't hear you", I say teasing her to speak with chest. "Girl if you can huh, then you can hear tuh", Lia says laughing as she plates waffles and some fruit onto a platter. "Here you go, we are leaving at 4pm" "Thanks Lia", I eat my food then go to my room and put on Netflix. I select Barbie: Princess Charm School, and snuggle into my blanket.

"Genesis, we leaving in 30 minutes" "Okay Lia", I pause my episode into Chicago Med and walk back into my closet to pick out my cargo jeans and a V-neck cropped top. I place the clothes on my bed and quickly have a shower.
Afterwards, I refresh my goddess curls by adding mouse and gel onto the curls and oil my scalp. I wear my clothes and spray my perfume, do a lip combo and pose in the mirror. I go back out to pick out my pink dunks to match my top, then I head downstairs. "Ouuuu girl 10/10" "Same girl, you always eat down!", I compliment Lia as we leave the house and enter her car.
"Is there anyone I should be weary of Lia?", I ask and look at my light pink nails in a nervous state. "Genni, they are fine. A bit crazy but what can I say? I love crazy", Lia sticks her tongue out. "Nasty girl, but nobody is particularly weird? Because I've been reading some Wattpad books where there is always one guys who is a bit-what's the word? Off?", I ramble on to Lia who occasionally looks over at me and giggles. "Well if i must say one person then it would be Killa, he doesn't really talk and can be mean. But you won't be near him", Lia reassures me. "Okay Lia, let's just get this over and done with"

"Is that Lani and Yaya!", I exclaim to Lia as we approach them on the sidewalk. I hopped out the car and rushed to hug them. "Besties reunited!", Yaya says. "Oh Genni, it's been forever. The last time you came was when we were in middle school", Lani says. "I know girls but I'm glad to be here". Lia locks her car and begins to walk to a house down the road, and my heart begins to speed up. "Well, here we go"
