Chapter 1 - Meet

Jessy woke up to her phone ringing. 6:00am na. It's their first day ng first sem of 2nd year college.

"Hello?" Jessy answered the call without checking who it was.

"Ate Jesss! Padala ng charger ko na naiwan ko dyan ha thank youuu."

"Samantha, ang aga aga mo tumawag." Jessy answered while her eyes are still half closed.

"Ayaw mo yon, alarm clock mo ko. Ganda kong alarm teh."

Taas ng energy niya ang aga aga. Jess thought while still trying to wake herself up.

"Oo na sige na bye na, magayos na ko." She answered as she gets up from bed.

"Byeeeee see you!" Samantha answered then hangs up the call.

Jessy had no choice but to start preparing for school or else she'll be late.

She's an honor student, a potential candidate for president of their school org, but even for someone as smart as her, school can be so draining.

Pagbaba niya sa dining, her parents are at the table about to eat breakfast.

"Just in time, kain na muna before umalis." Her Mom said.

"Start of new sem, ano plans mo for the sem Jess?" Her Dad asked.

Her parents have always been the strict type. Lagi nila sinasabi na kaya siya pinagaral sa magandang school para may maipagmalaki sila, kaya wag niyang sasayangin. So as expected, their expectations are sky high.

"Active po ako sa org para madali na lang po if tatakbo ako for president." She answered.

"Good, we expect you to get the spot ha. Maganda sa resume na as early as 2nd year nasa leadership role ka na." Her Dad said.

She looked down on her food.

Di pa nga nagsisimula may ganto na. She thought, already feeling drained hindi pa man siya nakakarating sa school.

After eating, she hurriedly went out, sat at the back seat of their car and put her earphones on. Kapag nagaabot sila ng parents niya, sinasabay na siya papasok ng school. And each time sumasabay siya, she always has her earphones on kasi ayaw na niya makarinig ng dagdag pressure from her parents.

Pagdating sa campus, students are swarming outside the gate, mga gusto pa tumambay habang di pa nagsstart klase.

She started looking for her friends, Ava, Sam and Princess.

Ava Arceta is currently the Student Government president. She's been her role model ever since nagkakilala sila.

Princess Sevilleja is the kikay of the group. Rich kid yan na tamad tamadan pero matalino. Pag may nakita kang naka all pink, siya na yon.

Samantha Catacutan is the bunso of their group. Kasali din siya sa dance troupe ng school.

"Ay anak ng kalabaw!" Jessy blurted out nung ginulat siya ni Princess from behind.

"Nagkape ka today teh?"

"Teh kahit sino magugulat sa ginawa mo."

Princess suddenly handed her a bottle of Gatorade.

"Dumaan ako sa 7eleven binilhan na kita, yan naman lagi mo binibili. "

"Omg I feel so touched ha."

"Amfeeling doble bayad niyan. " Jessy jokingly rolled her eyes.

They started walking and they saw Sam standing near the gate, just using her phone.

J: "e ka andyan? Asan si Ate Ava?"

S: "Andon may kausap, alam niyo naman artista yan dami bumabati."

Sam answered.

Ganyan si Ate Ava, super friendly, and super willing tumulong sa lahat ng students anytime.

They started walking to the gate. Sam and Princess are talking about an episode of the Grey's Anatomy, and Jessy was taking a sip of her Gatorade while listening to them.

"Ampotek naman!"

Jessy shouted after someone bumped into her while she was drinking, which made her spill her drink on her face and shirt.

2 students were running, pero yung medyo nahuhuli sa kanila yung nakabangga sa kanya.

Lumingon yung nakabangga sa kanya, sabay bulong ng "Nakaharang kasi sa daan", sabay takbo na ulit paalis.

Ang yabang ha sino ba yun. Jessy thought while trying to wipe herself.

"Luh ka teh happy first day sayo." Princess comments before giving pieces of tissue to Jessy.

"Hala ka gyud, anyare sayo?" Ava asked as she approached them.

J: "May sira ulo e aga aga."
A: "Tara may extra shirt ata ako, palit ka na lang."

So much for having a good first day. Jessy thought.
