It is a regular evening in the zootropolis park for Russell (Gorillaz) and Pompompurin (Hello kitty). They're hand in hand walking down the footpath, as they're happily married for two years, when suddenly they run into an unexpected acquaintance..
Bad-BadTZ (Hello Kitty) spotted the couple from a mile away. He felt lonely as he was walking through the zootropolis park with only him, himself and his dog. He is envious of the relationship they have, and he is busy envying the happy couple as Pompompurin (also known as PomPom) comes up to greet him.
PomPom introduced Russell to Bad-BadTZ as they PomPom and Bad-BadTZ are old childhood friends, and they have a conversation about PomPom and Russell's current relationship, much to Bad-BadTZ dismay.
Bad-BadTZ hurriedly finishes up the conversation as he was starting to feel depressed, and as he was walking away from the pair, he feels a third pair of eyes looking at him from a distance. The mysterious figure eyed him up and down before walking past him. Something about the figure's gaze made him feel uneasy in his stomach.
The mysterious figure is a man who goes by the name of Murdoc (Gorillaz), and he accidently crashes into PomPom as he's busy eyeing up Bad-BadTZ, which causes then to fall onto the concrete. They fall in such a way that PomPom ends up on top of Murdoc, which makes Russell feel infuriated at the thought of Murdoc touching his wife. This interaction reminds Russell of the times Murdoc and him spent together in the past. Russell wonders if Murdoc is still the same way he used to be back when they were in the band.
Murdoc looks up at PomPom with a befuddled expression on his face. PomPom scrambles to their feet and begins to profusely apologise to Murdoc, but Murdoc is too busy looking at Russell, his old friend from many years ago. Murdoc feels a deep seated anger towards Russell just from looking at him, as he's reminded of Russell's betrayal from when they were younger.
While Russell and Murdoc are busy giving eachother a fearsome stare, PomPom is still profusely apologising when she asks, "is there anything that I can do?" to make it up to Murdoc. Murdoc is hit with an idea to get back at Russell from all those years ago. He says,
"A room to stay in would be lovely."
