I sat at my dad's office spinning on his chair while eating my ice cream while his in a meeting with some important people. He left me in his office after warning me almost a million times to not touch anything. As if.

I loved his office when I was younger. He designed it child safe when Mom got pregnant and once I was born it was like a second home to hang out in. He redesigned the room when I turned 7 but it still was comfortable.

The weather outside was still cool causing me to be extra lazy. I'm still in my pajamas as always and my hair is tied up in a messy bun. I remember during my school years I went to school in the most comfortable pjs with fluffy earmuffs and slippers. I got a lot of compliments from teachers but I honestly didn't care, it takes enough extra work just to get up on a cold Monday morning to go to school.

I can't help but think about my terrible teenage hood. Everything at school was awesome and stuff but every year was something worse after Mom died.

"Hey, Sof!" A voice chirps, entering the room with enthusiasm.

I nod in recognition, way too tired to talk. The footsteps walk around and are followed by others. Though I haven't been in Dad's office for long, voices and faces never seem to fade.

"What are you doing here?" A deep voice asks rudely.

"Good morning to you too Trevor." I roll my eyes.

Trevor stands there with Melody, both of them carrying heavy-looking boxes."I didn't expect to see you up this early," Trevor scowls, raising an eyebrow.

I laugh softly and take another spoon of my ice cream. I apparently have something important to do this morning with Dad so he woke me up extra early. It's rare to see me up and in the office before 5 pm. Right now it's almost 9 am.

Trevor manages to unwillingly lighten my dull mood and I finally smile slightly. We've known each other forever, we were practically raised together.

The two go towards the corner of the room with the boxes. They both look like they're finally getting along, they laugh at each other jokes, and Trevor is actually helping Melody with something. It's not like they ever had a bad relationship, it's just that Trevor can be very intimidating, and Melody, being new, was terribly nervous around him. And that's coming from someone who's known Trevor forever.

"Someone moving in?" I ask jokingly taking another spoon of my vanilla ice cream.

The two stop what they're doing and turn to look at me. Melody has this cheeky smile on her face and Trevor has his usual emotionless expression.
They sit at the far left of the room on the boxes they carried into the room.

"Yeah, you." Trevor deadpans. I almost believe him with the amount of seriousness in his voice.

"Yeah right." I scoff. Melody seems to know something but is keeping quiet. Trevor doesn't even seem to display any expression. Something's definitely happening here.
