Ales approached us with cautious steps, his gaze locked onto Nikolai and me. His eyes briefly flickered to Nikolai's arm before returning to Nikolai, and then to me.

"Hey, Russo," Nikolai greeted with a self-assured smirk.

"Romanov. Do you know her?" Ales inquired calmly, positioning himself in front of us while keeping a watchful eye on Nikolai's arm.

"Yeah, we're practically inseparable! I heard you'll be joining us in the next few days," Nikolai responded.

"I will. I'll be staying for a week," Ales confirmed, his displeasure becoming more evident as Nikolai drew me closer.

It was clear that Nikolai was deliberately provoking Ales.

"Sofia, how do you know Nikolai?" Ales redirected his attention to me. I found myself at a loss for words.

"It's a long story!" I chuckled nervously, causing Ales to furrow his brow.

"Yeah, but that's in the past, right Sof? The past is the past," Nikolai interjected with a smirk, and I coughed. Nikolai used the arm around my shoulder to gently tuck a stray hair behind my ear. As he looked at me from the side, our eyes met, his crystal-like gaze locking with mine.

Suddenly, I was pulled by the waist toward a warm body. A hand held the side of my waist possessively, and Nikolai now stood in front of me, wearing a smug smile.

"Aren't you married, Russo? What would your wife think of this?" Nikolai taunted, while Ales glanced down at me. I was starting to feel increasingly uncomfortable.

"I'm not sure, what do you think about this, Sofia?" Ales asked me through gritted teeth.

"I'm cool with it," I replied, raising my eyebrow.

Nikolai then turned to me with a mock pout.

"You cheater, we were supposed to get married," Nikolai teased, and I stifled a laugh. "You stole my wife," Nick said to Ales with a scowl.

"We'd make a cute couple, don't you think?" I laughed along with Nick, and Ales looked visibly angered.

"We would, we're soulmates. The things we could do together! We could go on romantic dates, strolling hand in hand in beautiful places, serenading each other with our favorite songs at karaoke nights, and cozying up to watch movies under a blanket fort. I'd treat you like a princess, showering you with love and affection. I'd spoil you with thoughtful gestures, tenderly kissing away any hurt, and holding you close when you're feeling down. And if you ever get bored, we could fuc-." Nikolai's eyes light up as he exaggerates and makes playful faces.

"We're leaving." Ales interrupts and pulls me away from Nikolai.

"Bye, love!" Nikolai blows a kiss and I laugh.

"Bye, babes!" I glance behind me and blow a kiss.

Ales tugs at me and pulls me closer to him. We walk to the other side of the room towards a random staircase that leads to the upstairs seats. They are royal red and the ones upstairs are reserved for special guests.
