James stared at the ceiling of his dorm as he listened to Sirius as he slept he snored all night and kept James up, he couldn't really sleep anyway not after what happened last night, he tried to forget about It but every time he did it would come back in a flash he hated it, but he sort of loved it only he wouldn't admit it as he had told himself that he hated Felix and there was nothing that couldn't change it.
With a groan he rolled out of bed before quickly getting dressed he checked the time and decided to go for a walk and clear his head, he grabbed his shoes and slowly crept out of the room, with a sigh he made it into the common room, and put his shoes on, he left and decided to take a left turn which he regretted instantly, he paused and retreated back.
He heard loud footsteps as he leant against the wall, he glanced down the hall, he found Lexi who was pacing back and forth he let out a sigh before turning the corner, Lexi had turned around in an instant, she had heard him, "James, god you scared me" she placed her hand over heart James chuckled "didn't mean to" he said smirking slightly.
"What you doing up so early" James asked Lexi's smile slowly faded "something happened last night with Felix" she replied James furrowed his brows "im sure he's alright" he said Lexi glared at James, he shrugged his shoulders "I don't like him so- James was beginning to go on a rant before Lexi stopped him "James please can you just lay the hatred towards my brother down please, he's not doing so well right now" Lexi whispered, James froze yes he had seen Lexi angry but something seemed different He nodded his head slightly.
"Sorry" he said Lexi shook her head "it's alright" she replied the two stood in silence "so what's wrong with him" James asked Lexi didn't reply at first but she soon answered "he came to my dorm last night in tears, so I asked him what was wrong and he just blew up on me, he was then sick so I took him to the restroom, he's in there now" James stared at her as she frowned, the two started talking about quidditch things, James wanted to try distract Lexi as he never liked seeing her sad it made him angry, he never really understood why but he felt the need to protect her, maybe it was because she was so pure or maybe it was just instinct.
The door beside them opened and Felix stood in the doorway "you alright" Lexi asked as she stepped towards her brother he smiled slightly "I'll be alright" he replied he threw a glance to James who stood in silence "James can you- oi james" Lexi yelled the boy turned to her " sorry what" he replied "can you help Felix please, or I'm gonna be late to meet Jack" she replied as she rolled her eyes, before either boys could protest she was gone.
"Fuck sake" james whispered Felix looked down "I hate this as much as you" he replied he had heard him, james looked at the boy in disgust, "Lexi told me what happened last night" james said Felix looked up at that but didn't say anything, james nodded slowly "so, can we talk about last- james began to speak but stopped himself, what the he'll was he doing, he said he hated him right.
Felix sighed "what about last night" he asked James let out a scoff "seriously" james whispered as he advanced towards him, he glanced down both sides of the corridor before leaning in "we kissed last night" he whispered Felix shook his head letting out a chuckle "no you kissed me" he replied pointing at James then to himself " no, you kissed me back" james yelled Felix slightly flinched at his tone which made James let out a sigh "sorry I didn't mean to- "it's fine" Felix said which made james freeze "wait your not mad at me" james said Felix didn't answer but he shook his head which caused James to look at him in confusion
Why wasn't he mad james thought, shouldn't he be mad he was last night so what changed. James didn't know what the hell was going on with Felix but whatever it was, it didn't seem right, James nodded towards the corridor and Felix reluctantly followed, the two boys walked along the corridor in silence not a word was said and it was no surprise that there was tension.
Many thoughts rang through James mind as he stared at Felix as the two walked side by side he what to get to the bottom of why Felix was acting the way he is, after a few seconds of contemplating on wether or not he should ask the boy he stood in front of him to stop him from walking he froze and placed his hands into his pockets "what potter" he asked his Irish accent thick and strong, James had his eyes slightly open as he eyed him.
How was i gonna do this? James thought with a sigh he let the words spill out " why are you acting so weird" he asked Felix shrugged which caused James to let out a groan "omg, right let's get this story straight , so we kissed last night but now your acting as if nothing happened, so I wanna know why your acting like th- James let all of his anger into those words but Felix had stopped him by slamming him against the wall, James didn't see it coming so he let out a large breath of air.
Felix looked James up and down slightly as he had his hands on his shirt, the position seemed familiar so his hands began to tremble as he started to remember last night, he want to be rid of that night, it wasn't that he hated the kiss, which he shouldn't like it anyway but he felt a weird feeling that if he let the kiss lead to something else that he would hurt James, but seen as James didn't care about that so he wanted to tell him.
"Of course I remember okay, it's just I wanted to forget about it okay, so I tried ti play off the questions so you would just stop but it seems that you don't know when to shut up do you" Felix let go slightly of James shirt but his grasp was still tightly held onto the crumpled shirt, James tried searching Felix face for any lying but there was nothing. His heart broke slightly only slightly, he didn't know why the words panged at his heart but they did.
The tension between them began to fade as they now stood closer together, there eyes locked every now and again but Felix would quickly look away. Before the two boys could say anything else, Evan, Barty and leo appeared the three all looked at Felix then at James before looking at eachother "what's going on" leo yelled Felix quickly pulled away "just giving James a lesson" he replied as he shrugged slightly laughing the three boys began laughing as they walked off, James looked at there backs, he had caught Felix looking back at him.
James furrowed his brows when he saw Felix mouth 'sorry, well talk later' James nodded before walking off, he grabbed at his shirt trying to make it increased which wasn't working so he just left it, he made his way to the great hall we're he assumed everyone was.
