nearly all her life, nicole has been seen as hawkins sweetheart . she was nearly perfect in society's eyes , great grades , a pretty face , active in the community and pretty athletic . she was nice to everyone she gave a first impression too , and charming to everyone close to her . because of all that , she grew up in a high social standing , and once she got to high school she was pretty much already considered popular . she had plenty of friends , and was loved by every clique in school . people adored her , and it was often people wanted to be around her . she was practically the heartthrob or hawkins high , except she never really gave anyone a chance . she never had an actual boyfriend , or merely a hookup and everyone knew that.  it wasn't because she was stuck up or thought she was better than others , but simply because she didn't want to entertain that . the terror stories she had heard about hookups only to never hear from that said person again sounded exhausted to her , so she steered clear of men in general and just focused on herself . apart from her inexperienced dating history , nicole mostly enjoyed spending time with her siblings , erica and lucas . the cliche to their relationship was most people didn't know the sinclairs had other kids , especially a son . regardless , the three of them were still close , as close as erica thought apart from the over the top secret lucas had hid from her , and continued to hide from her until she found out about the upside down on her own .

personality: nicole was extremely confident in herself , and was surprisingly mature for her age . still , nicole had a hint of sarcasm in her personality , which often played a reason why she was so attractive . apart from that , she was extremely compassionate and mostly tried to give people the benefit of the doubt , even if they didn't deserve it .

history with LI: nicole had coincidentally met billy through mutual friends . when he first moved to the school , everyone immediately knew his name , and nicole could obviously see why . it didn't take long for him to work his way up the chain and start hanging out with the more popular clique around school , which nicole just so happened to have friends in as well . still , nicole never actually gave him any sort of attention , holding onto her pride and self respect . the more they hung around each other , the more the boy became infatuated with her . he didn't see her as a challenge , but more or less as a prize , a very sacred one at that . nicole would often find billy staring at her different times , and it didn't take long for him to ask her out , only for nicole to reject , multiple times . multiple times became one too many for her until she slipped up and promised billy one date , not anywhere public , and no physical touch allowed included . one date turned into two , and two turned into three before billy became insanely obsessed over the girl , not even realizing her relations to lucas until after the fourth date , which to that point he reevaluated everything , including himself . still , apart from his infatuation , nicole would find billy drifting back into old habits with women , something she would never tolerate and he knew .
