Warning!! Swearing!!

☆~~

A day had passed since their intense fight against the Ink Walkers, with Zane's newly awakened weapon providing crucial assistance. The town was still in turmoil, and the ninja continued to help evacuate civilians to safety. Karina was tirelessly transporting groups of people, using her teleportation ability to whisk them away to safety before rushing back to save more.

As she worked, she noticed Cole growing increasingly restless. He was glancing towards the heart of the battlefield, where the largest concentration of Ink Walkers remained. The urge to fight and prove himself was written all over his face.

"Cole, wait!" Jay called out, noticing the same thing. But it was too late. Cole had already broken away from the group, charging towards the enemy with determination in his eyes.

"Darn it, Cole!" Kai muttered, watching as their teammate ran off.

Karina, realizing the danger, quickly finished transporting her current group of civilians before appearing back to join the others. "We need to help Cole. He's in over his head!"

The team nodded, their resolve strengthening. Together, they charged after Cole, determined to support him and take down the Ink Walkers. As they caught up, they found Cole engaged in a fierce battle, his strength alone barely keeping the enemies at bay.

"Hold on, Cole! We've got your back!" Jay shouted, diving into the fray.

With the combined efforts of the team and Zane's newly awakened weapon, they managed to turn the tide of the battle. Cole, though bruised and exhausted, was grateful for their support. But his gratitude quickly turned to frustration.

"Why did you guys have to butt in?" Cole snapped, his voice filled with anger. "I had this!"

Kai stepped forward, his expression stern. "This isn't a game, Cole. You're not trying to be a hero to show off. We're a team, and we need to act like one."

The tension between them escalated, and Nya tried to step in, but Jay pulled her back, sensing this wouldn't end well.

Cole's anger boiled over. "You're one to talk, Kai! It's your fault Kora died. You may be some awe-inspiring 'leader', but you are nothing but a joke! You're not a good leader at all!"

Kai's face paled, the guilt hitting him like a physical blow. Nya's eyes flashed with anger, and she stormed over, standing between her older brother and Cole. Without a word, she slapped Cole, snapping him out of his rage.

Jay and Zane looked at Cole with disappointment, while Lloyd glared at him. Having blamed Kai before, he knew the sting of such accusations.

Karina stayed silent, her heart heavy with the tension between her friends. She didn't know what to say or do, since she didn't know any of them well enough to step in.

Tears filled Nya's eyes as she scolded Cole. "How could you say that? Kai has done nothing but try to protect us all. You have no right to blame him for something that was out of his control!"

Cole's anger evaporated, replaced by a deep sense of regret. He looked at Kai, seeing the pain he had caused. "Kai, I'm sorry man. I didn't mean it... I was just angry."

Kai took a deep breath, his voice calm and with a smile that never reached his eyes. "I know, Cole. But we need to stick together. We're stronger as a team. Let's head back home..."

Monastery of Spinjitzu

The tension from the battlefield lingered as they returned to the temple. Lloyd and Karina noticed the strained smile Kai wore, the pain behind his eyes that others missed.
