[Scarletts pov]

I opened the door. My brother eyes widened, and so did mine, blood everywhere, lifeless bodies. I couldn't cry. I wanted to, but I couldn't. My brother alex held my hand and was having a panic attack.

I glanced a little, I looked in the dark to see someone stand up. It was my bsf. I was about to reach my hand out until my brother pulled me back, and my bsf lunged at me with Clark's and fangs. Blood down her mouth, she was covered in blood.

"SCAR, GET BACK!" He screamed at me. I was in shock, I couldn't do anything but just watch as my bsf tried to kill me, or what was left of her. She was a demon.

"SCAR!"*he threw me back, and I hit a tree, I couldn't feel my head. It was blurry, blood running down my face, no words, just silence in my mind.

I slowly looked over at alex, he was fighting my bsf and trying to kill her. I got up and yelled at alex, "DONT HURT HER! I KNOW SHE WOULD NEVER HUTT US, " my voice a little shaky from the cold and on what is going on. "SHES A DEMON SHES GKNE SCARLETT, SHES GONE!"

Tears roled down my eyes as I realized that she wanted to kill me and not hug me, like she used to. I was mad I wanted to fight alex's words, but I couldn't. The words were so sharp and deep that I felt like they stabbed my voice, and I couldn't breathe.

Alex yelled at me once last time, "SCARLETT RUN!" I didn't want to leave him. I couldn't leave the only family I had left. Everyone was gone, I can't leave him. "I CAN'T LEAVE YOU!" I yelled, wanting to fight as well.

The last words I heard from him, "YOUR WEAK YOU CANT FIGHT YOULL DIE! JUST GO YOU USELESS -" his words were cut off. My bsf, or what was once her, had slit his throat. He falls in the snow, and the soft white snow starts to turn red around his body.

The sun started to rise, I turned and I ran down the mountain, breathing havey,the cold air hit my lungs like a knife. My brothers last words were calling me useless. Tears filling my eyes, finally feeling something after what I have felt for years.

I told myself not to run but fight but I ran, I lived, I didn't deserve to live alex fought he should have lived, I ran so fast I triped and fell down the mountain, hitting a bolder. Everything was a blur, I couldn't see. All I could make out was the blurry trees, her trail of blood, and.. more blood. I lay there, in the cold snow, cold tears fell, I thought this was the end. Was this really the end? It thought before it went black.

I started to slowly open my eyes, I was no longer in the cold freezing snow and the strong spiking air hitting me, I was in a house, near a fire and I was coverd in blankets. I sat up and looked around, there was bandages on my head. I looked behind me to see a boy my age. He had white and black hair, it split in the middle, and he smiled. "Are you okay?"

His smile was warm, and his eyes shined in the fire. I sat up and looked at him once more, "I am feeling better, but who are you?" I questioned him. "My name is Colby." he smiled, his smile was very warm. I heard footsteps, and I looked behind me to see a man. He was tall, "I'm glad you are feeling well." He smiled. I looked at the ground, confused. I couldn't remember anything.

I looked up at the tall man. "What happened?" I wondered as i stood up, I got dizzy, but colby caught me. "Hey, don't stand up too fast. You are still hurt, " he chuckled. I smiled a little at him.

he sat me down in a chair, and colby sat next to me, "Well, I was walking to get more wood, and I heard something, and I walked over to it, and I found you coverd in blood, I picked you up and me and colby bandaged you up" the tall man said to me.

I looked at my hands, they were shaking, I was still scared but of what. Suddenly, it all hit me like a train. Everything was coming back to me.

[Flash back on what happened]

The kids were playing, and I had my two bsf over, lilly and oliver. I had an older brother, alex, and a younger sister rei. We all played outside, and my mother and father went to get food ready.

It was so cold out that no one wanted to play outside. We played Tag, and oliver got me, "Hey!" I looked at him, and he laughed."Haha! Your it!" He ran. I smiled, and I ran after him.

My mother walked into the room where the kids were playing, "Would anyone like to get berries for the meal," My mother said with her gently smile she always had. The other kids said it was too cold, and they did want to. I stood up and smiled. "I'll do it!" I rasied my hand high. My mother smiled and looked at alex, "Can you go with your sister," alex rolled his eyes. "Do I have to?" My mother gave him that look that made the others laugh. "Yes, you will, and we talked about this." Alex got up and took my Arma ns dragged me "finee"

Me and alex went with small buckets, and we found some frozen blur berries. Me and alex started to pick them, and we played a little in the snow. I smiled, I never really hung out with him because my bsf basically lived with me since their parents always worked. Alex threw snow in my face, and we both laughed. He decided that we would take the long way home.

We got to the house, I smiled at Alex, and he smiled back. I walked up to the door but noticed there was a little blood and a hand print, that had blood on it, alex noticed but tried to smile it off, "they could be playing a prank I'm sure it's nothing sis." I smiled and nooded, "Yeah your right," I opened the door, and my eyes widened.

Everything hit me, and I was back looking at the hard floor breathing havey. Colby was patting my back, and the man smiled at me, "I promise everything will be okay." I looked at him, some tears forming in my eyes.

"But you couldn't save them. You coward" everything went black and colbys face and the man's face melted into a black empty smile. I fell into a pit of nothingness hearing my brothers words over and over and over and over!

I woke up breathing havey...I looked at my hand and then the mirror in my room. It was all a dream..I donr have to relive it."Again.. I don't want to remember." I put my face in my hands. I got out of bed, rvrrything become more clear that it was a dream, but it felt like it was real. I'm not 6, I'm 16 years old. I sighed.

I heard my door open, and it was colby. He still had that warm smile that he always gave me."Hey, another nightmare," I sighed and nodded, "Yup.." He walked over and hugged me. I hugged him back. He was warm like allways. He looked at me, "Oh yeah, the wond hashira and the snake hashira want to train us."

I smiled and got happy, "Really?" I questioned him with a smile on my face. He nodded yes and that we would get ower uniforms, I was going to work under the snake hashira, and he would work under the wind hashira. "We are getting the outfits today," colby said with a smile.

I looked at him, his smile waseays so bright to me, I looked at him a little bit closer, I realized I never knew what colby Past was even though we had been best friends for so many years.

[Colbys pov]

I looked at her, and her eyes never failed to make me smile. They were very beautiful. I did realize that I never told her what had happened to me on that day. It all hit me once again...

[I hope you guys enjoyed this, and colbys backstory will be next, aslo in the present time, because this is still the past, they are 17 to 18 years old around. After colby, there will be some funny things, and then we will learn their training with the hashiras, the snake hashira, and the wind hashira, after that we will go in to present time, it's around when tanjiro meets the hashiras for the first time]
