He swallowed hard, trying to regain control of his emotions. "You're just messing with me," he said, unable to keep the doubt out of his voice.Edric shook his head, his smile growing wider. "No, I'm serious," he said, his eyes locking onto Hunters'. "I really do like you. In a way I haven't felt for anyone else before."Hunters' heart thudded in his chest. Edric's words were like sweet poison, dangerous and intoxicating. He desperately wanted to believe him, yet he couldn't shake off the feeling that this was all a cruel jest.He stared at Edric, searching his face for any sign of deception. But all he saw was sincerity and confidence. The doubt and fear that had been clouding his thoughts began to subside, replaced by a warm glow of hope.Edric leaned closer, his breath hot against Hunters' cheek. "Can I ask you something?" he said, his voice low and sultry.Hunters' heart skipped a beat at their proximity. He could feel the heat radiating off Edric's body, and his scent was dizzying. He managed a small nod, not trusting his voice.Edric's lips curled into a small smile. "Have you ever been kissed before?" he asked, leaning in even closer.Hunters' face flushed as he shook his head. The question caught him off guard, and he felt embarrassed to admit his lack of romantic experience.Edric's smile widened. "In that case," he said, gently tilting Hunters' chin up with his fingertips, "can I be the first?"

Hunters' heart was racing, his breath catching in his throat.He should say no. This was dangerous territory, uncharted waters that he was ill-equipped to navigate. But as he looked into Edric's eyes, all reason and logic flew out the window.He found himself nodding, his body betraying his mind's better judgment. "Yes," he whispered, the word barely escaping from his dry throat.Edric's eyes darkened with desire, and he closed the remaining distance between them. His lips brushed against Hunters', soft and gentle at first, but growing more insistent and demanding as the kiss deepened.Hunters felt as if his entire world had narrowed down to the sensation of Edric's lips on his. This was all so new, so overwhelming, and yet he didn't want it to stop.Edric's hands moved from his face to his hair, fingers threading through the strands and pulling slightly, sending a jolt of pleasure straight to his core. His breath hitched, and he pressed himself closer to Edric, seeking more of that delicious friction.Edric's tongue traced the seam of Hunters' lips, seeking entrance, and he willingly let him in, their tongues tangling together in a wet, heated dance. He felt a low moan building in his throat, the sounds of their kiss filling the empty library.Edric broke the kiss, pulling back just enough to look into Hunters' eyes. "God, you're so damn responsive," he murmured, his voice thick with desire.
