HUNTERS POV
When Hunters woke up the next day, it took him a moment to realize that the previous night hadn't been a dream. The events of the previous night played back in his mind, and he found himself recalling the way Edric's hands and lips had felt on his skin, his kisses searing and consuming. He glanced over to the side, and there he was, still asleep, looking more peaceful than he possibly ever was.Hunters shifted slightly, moving closer to Edric. His body ached in places he didn't even know existed, reminding him of the hours they had spent together the night before. But despite the physical soreness, he felt a deep sense of contentment, of rightness, being tangled up with this boy.Hunters felt a rush of affection as he watched Edric sleep. His face was soft, his hair messy, and he looked so different from the confident, charming boy he was when he was awake. Here, in this moment, he was simply Edric, unguarded and vulnerable.Edric stirred slightly, sensing Hunters' proximity. His eyes fluttered open, taking a moment to adjust to the light. When he realized where he was and who he was with, a small, contented smile tugged at his lips. "Morning," he mumbled, his voice still groggy with sleep."Morning," Hunters replied, his voice soft. He reached out, pushing a strand of hair out of Edric's face. "Did you sleep well?"Edric chuckled, rolling onto his back so he could stretch out his limbs. "Like a rock," he said, letting out a yawn. "And judging by the way my body feels, I'm guessing we wore each other out last night." Hunters couldn't help but laugh, a flush of embarrassment in his cheeks at the comment. "Yeah, I think we did," he said, propping himself up on one elbow. "I swear, I didn't know my body could move like that."Edric let out a low, wicked chuckle. "Oh, sweetheart, we barely scratched the surface. There's so much more you haven't experienced yet."Heat pooled in Hunter's stomach at Edric's words, his mind filling with possibilities. "Is that a promise or a threat?" he teased, arching an eyebrow.Edric's gaze darkened, his smirk turning downright predatory. "Both," he said, his voice a low rumble. "And trust me, by the time I'm done with you, you'll be begging for more."Hunters felt a shiver run down his spine at the promise. And while a part of him was tempted to tease Edric further, he knew that this boy could back up his words. He was charming, yes, but he was also surprisingly capable and confident in his abilities. "You have a lot of confidence," he commented, his voice a bit shaky.Edric shifted onto his side, propping himself up on one elbow to mirror Hunters' position. "Confidence," he echoed, leaning in closer. "No, sweetheart, I have experience. And trust me, I know exactly how to blow your mind."Hunters swallowed, his heart rate picking up. There was no doubt that Edric was very experienced and knew exactly what he was doing. Even the memory of the night before had him feeling weak in the knees. "Is that so?" he managed to say, his voice betraying his desire.Edric smirked, noticing the effect he was having on Hunters. He moved closer, his body pressing against Hunters'. "Oh, sweetheart, you have no idea," he murmured, his lips brushing against Hunters' ear. "Last night was just the beginning. I plan on unraveling you, piece by piece, until you're a trembling mess."The two boys were pulled out of their moment by the sound of the school bell, signaling the start of the day. Edric let out a sigh, pulling back reluctantly. "Duty calls," he said, reluctantly untangling himself from Hunters' limbs.Hunters felt a pang of loss as Edric moved away, the cold air replacing the warmth of his body. He took a deep breath, trying to collect himself. "Right," he said, his voice slightly hoarse. "Classes."Edric got out of bed, stretching his arms over his head and stifling a yawn. "I'll see you at lunch," he said, pausing to glance back at Hunters. His gaze travelled over Hunters' dishevelled appearance, his lips twitching with a smile. "You might want to tidy yourself up a bit before leaving the room," he teased.Hunters blushed, suddenly very aware of how he must look after the night they had spent together. He ran a hand through his hair to try and smooth it down, but judging by the smirk on Edric's face, it wasn't helping much. "Shut up," he muttered.Edric chuckled, clearly enjoying the flustered state he had put Hunters in. "I'm just saying, you look like you've been thoroughly wrecked," he said, pulling on his clothes. "And while I personally think it's a good look on you, others might not see it the same way."Hunters groaned, burying his face in his hands. "You're a menace," he grumbled, rolling out of bed reluctantly. Even as he complained, a part of him couldn't deny the possessive pride he felt knowing that he was the cause of the love bites and bruises that were visible on his skin."I prefer the term 'devilishly charming'," Edric retorted, the smirk never leaving his face. He walked over to Hunters, pausing in front of him. His fingers gently grabbed Hunters' chin, tilting his head up to look at him. "You look good like this, you know," he murmured, his gaze intense. "All messy and roughed up."Hunters felt heat rising in his cheeks at Edric's words, his heart skipping a beat. He couldn't help the way his body responded to the praise, heat pooling in his gut and his pulse quickening. "Shut up," he repeated weakly, unable to tear his gaze away from Edric's.Edric chuckled again, clearly enjoying the effect he had on Hunters. "You know, you're very cute when you're all flustered like this," he said, letting his fingers trail lightly down Hunters' chest. "Makes me want to mess you up even more."Hunters swallowed, his mind spinning with the implications of Edric's words. He knew that he should put up a token resistance, but he was powerless against the charm and confidence that Edric exuded. "You're an awful tease," he said, his voice betraying his desire.Edric's smile widened, his eyes glimmering with mischief. "Oh, I'm just getting started," he said, his hand moving to rest on Hunters' hip. "And you should know by now that I always deliver on my promises."Hunters shivered again, his body hyper-aware of Edric's touch. Despite his brain telling him to maintain distance, he found himself pressing closer, drawn to the magnetic pull of this boy. "You're going to be the death of me," he muttered, his voice a mixture of amusement and arousal. As the two boys walked towards the school grounds, they were greeted by the familiar chaos of the morning rush. Students bustled around them, each absorbed in their own conversations and activities. Edric and Hunters navigated through the crowd, occasionally exchanging brief glances and subtle touches, their earlier interaction still fresh in their minds. Despite their casual demeanour, there was an underlying current of tension and anticipation that crackled between them, a silent promise of what lay ahead. The school campus was a hive of activity, filled with students hurrying to classes or lingering in small groups. Edric and Hunters weaved through the sea of teenagers, their shoulders occasionally brushing as they moved in tandem. They didn't speak, but the silence wasn't uncomfortable. Instead, it was filled with a silent understanding, a shared knowledge of the boundaries they had crossed and the implications of their new dynamic. As they passed by familiar faces, Edric offered brief nods or greetings, his usual charm on full display. But there was a subtle possessiveness in his attitude, his gaze lingering longer than necessary and his hand occasionally finding its way to the small of Hunters' back, a silent marking of territory. Hunters, for his part, found himself strangely comfortable with the public display of ownership, a possessive thrill running through him knowing that Edric was claiming him as his own.Suddenly, a voice called out, cutting through their bubble of awareness. "Hey, you two!"Hunters turned to see Luz approach them, a cheerful smile on her face. "Hey," he greeted, trying to push away the memories of the night before and focus on the present.Luz's eyes flicked between the two boys, her observant gaze taking in the subtle touches and the possessive way Edric was standing beside Hunters. She arched an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing at the corners of her lips."You guys look... cozy," she remarked, her tone light yet laced with curiosity. Hunters felt a flush of heat in his cheeks, but Edric merely chuckled, his hand giving a discreet squeeze on Hunters' hip. "Just enjoying each other's company," he said smoothly, his voice betraying nothing.
