Sun Kissed

Packed & Ready - Part 1

"Selena, are you finished packing yet?" Kaitlyn asked for the tenth time. "I'm almost done" she replied rushing out of her room, trying to zip her bag closed. We just shook their heads and laughed. 

"Come on our ride is waiting!" Alexa stated, opening the front door. 

Every year the 5 of us take an annual trip somewhere, normally we would put names in a hat and choose from there. We have never been to a country more than once, except for different resorts around Europe.

Let me give you a break down of us all.

My name is Jess, I'm a bit on the shy side when I first meet you, but once I get to know you, I am quirky, funny, mostly the sane one in the group and loves her friends like family. I don't drink but have an occasional drink as I like to stay sober to take care of my friends. I am 20 years old and I am a student nurse. 

Kaitlyn, she's very outgoing and very pretty, she can be loud, especially when she has something to drink. She loves cracking jokes and loves her friends fiercely. She's also 20 years old and she's a pharmacist.

Alayna, she is the very loud and boisterous one, she always has a new boyfriend every week. She finds it funny to tell us the details of her relationship in depth. We just find it gross....LOL. But she's always there when we need her. She's just turned 21 and student lawyer.

Alexa, what can I say about her, she's the one who doesn't care what anyone thinks, she has verbal diarrhea, she the rebel in our group of girlfriends. Loves parties, getting drunk and spending her daddy's money. She doesn't need to work as she lives off her families trust fund. She can be a bit much, but we love her. 

Selena, she's the sweet and kind of girl next door type. She turns everything into a joke and can be very funny, sometimes you think where the hell did she come up with that. She's the prankster in our group, so we have to be careful around her sometimes. She is 20 years old and is in the modelling business.

We met when we joined a gymnastics school in Scotland, we were only 5 years old. Alexa's parents always joined her in activities that would keep her busy, so they didn't have to deal with her. So she developed a very bratty, entitled attitude. It just so happened we were all new to this school and Kaitlyn accidentally bumped into her, Alexa got into her face and started saying nasty things. Kaitlyn pushed her and that made her fall into Selena and so it all hit off from there. 

Myself and Alayna pulled them apart forcing them to stop. I pulled Selena with me as Alayna pulled Kaitlyn away. We walked away leaving Alexa standing there red faced. We sat with Selena and Kaitlyn and started talking to them, we became friends that day. 

Later as we left gymnastics, we left together, talking to each other. We watched as Alexa walked on her own to a fancy car and a driver waiting to take her where ever. She looked very sad as she looked at us through the car window as she was driven away. 

At our next gymnastics class, we saw her come in and sit down by herself, she looked like she was trying to be strong, but she had a sadness in her eyes. Every now and then she would look over to us 4 sitting together, talking and then she would look away.

I spoke to the girls and they agreed that we should invite her to sit with us. So I got up and walked over to her and invited her to sit with us. She had a huge smile on her face when she joined us. She was a real chatter box, we did our gymnastics lesson and were getting ready to leave, when she invited us to go with her for a pizza.

Our parents agreed and that they would pick us up at the pizza place later. So we all got into Alexa's car and she told the driver to take us to her favourite pizza place. We ended up having so much fun, that day we all became friends and we were still friends.

We got to know each other more and we all hung out more. Alexa was actually a really great girl, she was just so lonely, she barely saw her parents, she went to a private school. She had a butler and a maid to take care of her. She could be herself when we were there, she invited us regularly for sleepovers which we loved as she had a big beautiful house.

We got invited on holidays with Alexa and her parents, only because they didn't have to entertain her. Our parents invited her along with our other friends on our holidays so that we wouldn't get bored. She loved hanging out with our families as we did loads of things together, so she felt like she had family within our families.
