Janet was taken aback as Toni uttered those words, her expression morphing into shock and confusion. "I can't do this anymore, Janet. I'm leaving," Toni's voice trembled with emotion. Janet turned around so fast, looking at her girlfriend of three years as if she had two heads. "Toni, what do you mean you can't do this anymore? What exactly can't you continue to do?"

Toni's heart broke looking into the woman's eyes, which she loved so much. She had to remind herself that this was for the best. Janet meant everything to Toni, but this is something that has to be done, Toni thought. Janet doesn't deserve to suffer because of Toni and what's happening with her. So, it's best if I end this now before we get to deep in this. Toni was crushed, but this was all for Janet's good. I must keep reminding myself that this act here is a selfless act of true love.

Janet has risen from her bed and stands directly in front of Toni, her eyes filled with pleading emotion. "Answer me, Toni," she shouts, her voice trembling with betrayal and anger.

Toni turned away from the shared closet, where she was gathering some of her belongings. She looked at Janet and said, "Janet, this relationship is no longer working for me, and I'm leaving you. Can you understand that?" I want out.

Janet was overwhelmed with disbelief and distress as she listened to the words pouring out of Toni's mouth. Tears streamed down Janet's cheeks as she turned to Toni and pleaded, her voice filled with desperation, "Toni, my love, what have I done? How can I make it right? I need you so much, Toni. Please, my love, tell me what's wrong, and I will do everything possible to fix it. I promise you."

Toni felt frustrated as she pondered, "Why is she making this more difficult than necessary?" She met Janet's gaze and declared, "Janet, you did nothing wrong here. I want this relationship to be over." Her voice resounded loudly in the room as she averted her eyes from Janet's gaze.

Janet was completely shocked as she struggled to comprehend that her partner, whom she had loved and valued for the past three years, wanted to end their relationship. As Janet attempted to move closer to Toni to comfort her, Toni abruptly pulled away, causing deep, emotional pain for Janet.

"This is all I have to say," Toni replied to Janet. "Please let me go, Janet. I no longer have any desire for you or this relationship."
