Shubman and Sara continued to enjoy their romantic moment, the balcony doors still open to let in the cool night air, they heard a soft knock on the door. Before either could respond, the door creaked open, and Shahneel peeked in, a mischievous grin on her face.
"Am I interrupting something?" Shahneel asked, stepping into the room with an impish look.
Shubman sighed dramatically, though he couldn't hide his smile. "Shahneel, you have the worst timing."
Sara laughed, shaking her head. "No, it's okay. Come in, Shahneel."
Shahneel walked over and plopped down on the bed beside Sara. "I just wanted to check on you two lovebirds. Making sure my brother is treating you right, Sara."
Shubman rolled his eyes. "Very funny, Shahneel. I think Sara can take care of herself."
Shahneel grinned, looking at Sara. "So, what were you two talking about?"
Sara blushed slightly. "We were just... talking about the future. And how happy we are to be here together."
Shahneel nodded approvingly. "That's good to hear. You know, Shubman, you picked a great girl. Don't mess it up."
Shubman groaned playfully. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, sis."
Sara chuckled, enjoying the sibling banter. "Shahneel, your brother is wonderful. I'm really happy."
Shahneel's expression softened. "I'm glad, Sara. We all really like you, and it's great to see my brother so happy."
Shubman smiled, feeling grateful for his sister's support. "Thanks, Shahneel. That means a lot."
Shahneel clapped her hands together. "Okay, enough serious talk. How about we make some late-night snacks and have a mini party? You game, Sara?"
Sara's eyes lit up. "That sounds like fun!"
Shubman raised an eyebrow. "You're planning to raid the kitchen, aren't you?"
Shahneel grinned mischievously. "You bet. Come on, let's go!"
The three of them made their way downstairs to the kitchen, where they found Kerat Aunty still up, making preparations for the next day.
"What's going on here?" Kerat Aunty asked, seeing the trio entering the kitchen.
"Late-night snack raid, Maa," Shubman explained with a smile. "We couldn't resist."
Kerat Aunty chuckled. "Alright, but make sure you clean up after yourselves. And no making a mess."
"Yes, Maa," Shahneel said, already rummaging through the fridge.
They quickly gathered ingredients and began preparing snacks together, laughing and chatting as they worked. The kitchen was filled with the aroma of freshly made pakoras and chai. Shubman took charge of making the chai, while Sara and Shahneel focused on the pakoras.
As they enjoyed their midnight feast, Shubman looked around at the people he loved—his family and Sara, who had quickly become an integral part of it.
"This is perfect," he said, raising his cup of chai. "To family, love, and many more nights like this."
"To family," Sara and Shahneel echoed, clinking their cups together.
The night continued with more laughter and stories, and by the time they finally decided to head to bed, they were all in high spirits, feeling more connected than ever.
As Shubman and Sara headed back upstairs, Shahneel called out, "Goodnight, lovebirds! Sleep well!"
Shubman chuckled, shaking his head. "Goodnight, Di
