Hermione was surprised, but not at the same time. Here she stood in between her twin husbands, who were looking entirely too innocent, watching a woman a few tables in front looking for a bowl that not long ago had been on her counter with raising dough inside. Her surprise was that Fred and George had taken her to a cooking class, her un-surprise was that fact that the boys had decided this would be the perfect place to play pranks...
The bowl in question was sat in the sink behind the flustered woman, and in all honesty, Hermione was having much trouble holding in her laughter having heard George mutter the words to move the bowl. She was also impressed that he had managed to do this without anyone else attending the class noticing the bowl hover and move.
The other people in attendance had started to notice where the bowl was now placed, and most were far to amused to help the poor teacher out. Eventually, a gentleman took pity on her and spoke up.
"How on earth did it get there...?"
The woman asked, taking on a red complexion in embarrassment. Fred subtly high-fived Fred behind Hermione, who glanced at the men with exasperated affection. Hermione was having a lot of fun watching them be mischievous during the class whilst still expertly following the instructions to make a delicious smelling loaf of bread. They ended the lesson tasting their bread with butter made straight from the farm that the cooking classes were held at. It was warm, soft and the melting local butter was the icing on the cake.
Afterwards, Fred and George led Hermione along the various muddy paths through the farm and stopping to pet the numerous farm animals. Fred was particularly taken with a large, vocal, greying donkey who was equally taken with him. George jested that Fred was Hermione's prince charming and that 'Godfry' was his noble steed. Fred then bowed to Hermione, offering his hand for her to take.
"M'Lady"
He said charmingly, before kissing the back of her hand, making her giggle and blush lightly.
George was very interested in the bug-eyed goats that seemed to not fear anyone, one eventually trying to headbutt George in his face when he leaned too far over their barriers. George theatrically claimed that the goat had made contact with his forehead, begging Hermione to 'kiss it better'. They laughed and joked around the farm before taking a leisurely stroll to the portkey.
The portkey did not take them home, as Hermione expected, but to a meadow filled with lavender and other beautiful flowers. There, laid in a clearing, was a blanket with a carafe of hot chocolate and three large mugs. Once they sat and poured their drinks, George started to speak,
"Twin magic is an oddity, even in our magical world. We only know one other set of twins that have the same bond, the same needs, as Fred and I. According to mum and dad, we were cut from the exact cloth as our uncles, Fabian and Gideon. We look like them, talk like them, our personalities are twinned... As is our bond. When one feels sad, the other feels that sadness. When one feels happy, the other feels that joy. When one feels pleasure, well... you can see where I'm going with this."
Fred chuckled but carried on,
"The bond runs soul deep. We laugh together, we cry together, we love together. Believe me, we've tried to separate certain aspects of our lives. We've had some fun experiments, some disastrous... But we can't seem to separate any part. Not that we want to but in our young teen years... well, we couldn't look at each other in the eye on occasion."
It was George's turn to chuckle. Hermione blushed at their train of thought but was so wrapped up in this new information, fascinated. She wondered if there were any books on Twin Magic. George and Fred must have known her train of thought as they chuckled again, before Fred added,
"We have a total of 5 books that helped us understand our bond. We will be happy to loan them to you to satisfy your thirst for knowledge."
How Fred said the simple sentence made Hermione shiver. He put emphasis on a certain couple of words, so subtly that Hermione may not have noticed if it weren't for the heated look in his gaze... George then spoke again, much more softly and far less confidently than before,
"I understand that this may be uncomfortable or maybe a little scary for you but I need to emphasize that when we do everything together, we mean everything. Obviously, we do not make contact with each other during intimate moments, but we do like to share the experience. We would like to know if this is something you would consider, maybe try, in the future..."
Fred was now looking equally as bashful, both men adorning the same light pink tinge on their cheeks. Hermione assumed her own face resembled a tomato at this point. But what shocked her was that she wasn't opposed to the idea of sharing a bed with both men at the same time, in fact, it felt like it may be strange to see one man without the other in any aspect of life. With that thought, Hermione decided to put the men out of their embarrassed states, voicing her thoughts,
"I am a little nervous. The thought of being with both of you at the same time is a little intimidating. However, at this point, I think it would be odd to see you apart... even in the bedroom. I'm willing to give this a try, to see how this will work... Maybe a little curiosity wouldn't hurt..."
Both men lunged forward to hug her gratefully, all three laughing heartily at Hermione toppling backwards. They took it in turn, giving Hermione a gentle peck to the lips before discussing other topics, such as the shop and new inventions. Hermione was taken aback by the sheer number of ideas and the combinations of magic they put together that she would have never thought of. These men were seriously underestimated in their knowledge and intelligence. They happily welcomed Hermione to visit the shop and throw down ideas with them, also impressed by her ideas.
AS the evening grew colder, after hours of talking, the three made there way back to the mansion. The house was quiet when they returned and after a late supper, they proceeded up the stairs to the twin's bedroom. The next morning, the letters in Hermione's frame disappeared, and a new name emerged – Seamus Finnigan – Wizard.
