#### Semester's End and the Points SystemAs the semester drew to a close, the students were introduced to the academy's unique points system. Professor Eldrin, a stern but fair mage with a deep, commanding voice, explained the system during a special assembly in the grand hall.
"The points system," he began, "allows students to earn merits through various contributions to the academy. These points can be exchanged for valuable materials, artifacts, or even private lessons with master mages."
Arthur listened intently, his mind already racing with possibilities. He saw this as an opportunity to gain access to rare resources for his experiments.
Selene, sitting beside Arthur, whispered, "What do you think, Arthur? Any plans to rack up some points?"
Arthur smirked. "I have a few ideas. How about we work on a project together? Something innovative."
"What do you have in mind?" Elias asked, leaning in with curiosity.
Arthur took a deep breath. "How about creating a device that can project a hologram?"
Elias raised an eyebrow. "A hologram? What's that?"
Arthur explained, trying to translate the concept from his past life into terms his friends could understand. "Imagine a three-dimensional image that you can see from all angles. Like a picture, but it appears as if it's actually there in the air."
Selene's eyes widened. "That sounds amazing! How do you plan to do it?"
"We can combine light magic and dark magic to create the image," Arthur suggested. "It won't be easy, but I think we can manage it."
Mira nodded thoughtfully. "I'm in. It sounds like a fascinating project."
With the plan set, the friends started brainstorming ideas on how to proceed. They discussed the types of spells they would need and the potential challenges they might face.
Meanwhile, Professor Eldrin continued to describe the various artifacts and materials available through the points system. "You can acquire rare mana crystals, enchanted tools, and even ancient scrolls containing lost spells."
Arthur's excitement grew. He knew that these resources could significantly enhance his capabilities.
Selene whispered to Arthur again, "We should aim for those rare mana crystals. They could be incredibly useful for our experiments."
"Agreed," Arthur replied. "But we'll need to earn a lot of points. Let's come up with a plan to maximize our efforts."
As the assembly ended, Arthur and his friends gathered in their usual spot under a large oak tree in the courtyard. The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow over the academy grounds.
Elias stretched out on the grass. "So, about this hologram project. How exactly are we going to pull it off?"
Arthur leaned back against the tree, deep in thought. "We'll need to start with the basics. We need a stable source of mana, precise control over light and shadow, and a way to project the image."
Selene nodded. "I can work on the light magic part. I've been practicing some new spells that might be useful."
"I'll handle the dark magic," Arthur said. "We'll need to synchronize our efforts perfectly."
Mira looked thoughtful. "I can help with the stability of the mana flow. We need to ensure there are no fluctuations that could distort the image."
Elias grinned. "And I'll be the test subject. I'll stand still and let you project my handsome face."
