The hospital room was silent, the only sound being the soft hum of medical equipment. Manav stood by Mannat's bedside, carefully checking her vitals. Slowly, she began to stir, her eyelids fluttering as she adjusted to the bright light filling the room. Her eyes moved around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings, a flicker of confusion crossing her face.
Noticing her becoming conscious, Manav gently pressed her arm to check her nerves. "Ouch!" Mannat winced, the sudden sensation startling her.
"Shh... it's nothing, just a small injection," Manav reassured her, his voice calm and soothing.
Mannat, still disoriented, jerked her hands away from Manav, her eyes widening in confusion and fear.
Manav, feeling a flicker of irritation, couldn't help but snap, "Miss! Are you freaking mad? What is this behavior?"
Mannat, squeezing her brows together in a cute but anxious expression, looked around the room, clearly lost and scared. Her thoughts spiraled as she tried to understand where she was and why she was there. Panic set in, and tears began to stream down her cheeks.
"Why... why are you crying?" Manav asked, his irritation quickly turning to guilt for raising his voice.
"You... you're going to sell my organs," Mannat blurted out between hiccups and sobs.
Manav stifled a laugh at the absurdity of her assumption, covering his face to hide his amusement. He was just about to clear up her misunderstanding when the door to the room swung open, revealing Nitya and Ayushman.
Ayushman immediately rushed to Mannat's side, pulling her into a comforting hug. Nitya walked over to Manav, and they exchanged knowing smiles, both amused and touched by the couple's bond.
"Don't worry, moon, I'm here with you," Ayushman whispered reassuringly.
"Thank God, Ayan, you came," Mannat sniffled, still clinging to him. "This doctor was going to sell my organs."
"Organs!?" Ayushman turned towards Manav, who was now smiling and shaking his head, while Nitya looked on in confusion.
After sharing a look with Manav, Ayushman gently explained the situation to Mannat, clearing up her misunderstanding. Realizing her mistake, Mannat's face turned red with embarrassment, and she quickly apologized.
"It's okay, Miss," Manav replied, his tone gentle.
"Call me Mannat," she insisted, offering a shy smile.
