Jaeyun's POV:

[Conan Gray : Movies]

The night had been going well, the conversations flowing easily, and the atmosphere vibrant with energy. Jaeyun felt like he was on cloud nine, finally connecting with Heeseung after all those years. But as the night progressed, he found himself drifting away from the group, needing a moment to collect his thoughts.

He wandered to a quieter corner of the rooftop, taking in the view of the city lights twinkling below. Lost in his thoughts, he almost didn't notice Heeseung slipping away from the crowd and heading towards a more secluded area of the rooftop.

Curiosity piqued, Jaeyun decided to follow. As he rounded the corner, he saw Heeseung standing close to a girl, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the rooftop lights. They were laughing, their voices low and intimate. Before Jaeyun could process what was happening, Heeseung leaned in and kissed her.

Jaeyun felt like the ground had been pulled out from under him. His heart clenched painfully, and his breath caught in his throat. He couldn't tear his eyes away from the scene, a mix of disbelief and heartbreak washing over him.

Without thinking, he turned and fled, pushing through the crowd as he made his way to the restroom. The music and laughter around him felt like a distant echo, his vision blurred by the tears that threatened to spill. He burst into the restroom, locking himself in a stall and leaning against the door, his chest heaving with the effort to keep his sobs silent.

Why did it hurt so much? He never had any feelings for Heeseung, never even thought about them. Yet seeing Heeseung with someone else felt like a knife to the heart.

He slid down to the floor, burying his face in his hands. The reality of his unexplainable feelingd hit him hard, the pain almost unbearable. He had hoped, foolishly perhaps, that there might be a chance for something more between them. But now, that hope felt shattered.

As he sat there, trying to compose himself, the restroom door creaked open. Footsteps approached, and Jaeyun held his breath, hoping whoever it was would leave him alone.

"Jaeyun? Are you in here?" Sunghoon's voice was filled with concern. "I saw you run off. What's wrong?"

Jaeyun hesitated, then slowly unlocked the stall door. Sunghoon's worried face came into view, his eyes widening when he saw Jaeyun's tear-streaked cheeks.

"Hey, what happened?" Sunghoon asked softly, crouching down beside him.

Jaeyun shook his head, struggling to find the words. "I... I saw hyung. He was kissing someone. It just... it feels weird and painful, hoonie i can't stop this, I know it's stupid."

Sunghoon's expression softened with understanding. He knew about Jaeyun's complex feelings for his brother, had known for a while. "I'm so sorry, Jaeyun. I know how you must be feeling."

Jaeyun wiped at his eyes, taking a shaky breath. "I just feel so stupid. I shouldn't have let myself hope for something that was never going to happen."

Sunghoon put a comforting hand on Jaeyun's shoulder. "You're not stupid. It's okay to be unsure, it's perfectly fine to feel weird emotions. But you're not alone, okay? I'm here for you."

Jaeyun managed a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Sunghoon. I just need a moment to pull myself together."

Sunghoon nodded, giving his shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Take your time. We can leave if you want. We don't have to stay here."

Jaeyun shook his head. "No, it's okay. I don't want to ruin the night for you. I just... need a moment."

Sunghoon stayed with him, offering silent support as Jaeyun tried to steady his breathing and collect his thoughts. Despite the pain, he felt a glimmer of hope knowing that he had a friend like Sunghoon by his side, someone who understood and cared. It didn't erase the hurt, but it made it a little more bearable.

After the emotional upheaval in the restroom, Jaeyun and Sunghoon decided to head back to the party, determined to salvage what was left of their night. They found their friends, grabbed a few more drinks, and quickly found themselves swept up in the lively atmosphere once again.

The alcohol flowed freely, and the music pulsed through the rooftop bar, creating an intoxicating blend of lights and sound. Jaeyun and Sunghoon let themselves get carried away, the sharp edges of their emotions blurring under the influence of the drinks.

"Another round?" Sunghoon shouted over the music, holding up his empty glass.

Jaeyun, already feeling the effects of the alcohol, nodded with a grin. "Why not? Let's forget everything tonight!"

They downed shot after shot, laughing and swaying to the music. The pain of the earlier events started to dull, replaced by a warm, hazy feeling. Jaeyun could barely think straight, his thoughts jumbled and his movements unsteady.

At one point, they found themselves sitting on a low wall, looking out at the glittering skyline. Sunghoon turned to Jaeyun, his eyes glassy but intense. "Hey, Jaeyun," he began, his words slightly slurred. "There's something I've been wanting to tell you."

Jaeyun blinked, trying to focus on Sunghoon's face. "What is it, Hoonie?"

Sunghoon took a deep breath, his heart pounding. "I... I like you...... "
