Haerin and Minji had been best friends for as long as they could remember. Their bond was unbreakable, and they decided to take a road trip to celebrate their friendship and escape the monotony of everyday life. The open road, endless possibilities, and freedom beckoned them.

"Okay, then take a left turn right here." Haerin told Minji, who was driving the good old Honda Jazz of hers. They are now driving through a remote countryside

"Sketchy but alright, you're the navigator here." She took the left fork of the road, trusting Haerin's map navigation. "Now which way, right or left?" As they are almost reaching another junction.

"Wait, my GPS is kind of whack right now. Give it a sec" Haerin smacks her phone a little, hoping the GPS will turn back normal. Minji sighs at her behavior.

"That's not how you fix the signal, Genius." Minji bickered, rolling her eyes. Now they are stopping at the junction, waiting for Haerin's GPS to turn back normal, but no luck. Almost reaching 5 minutes and Minji has become impatient.

"You know what, I'm taking a right turn." Minji turns her steering wheel and goes right. "Don't you want to wait a little longer? We have no idea what this place is and obviously we are out of town, there are barely any houses here." Haerin worriedly told Minji.

"Well, wrong or not, we need to move. It's almost past afternoon now and if we don't find any way out, we'll be stranded here" Minji explained

The paved road gave way to a narrow, old path surrounded by thick forest. Haerin's phone already lost signal completely. Then she borrows Minji's phone and tries to navigate using it but fails. Both phones have no signal. "Fuck....." Haerin cussed.

10 minutes passed when suddenly.....

"Oh no, please. Why now?!!" Minji's horrified plus frustration appears when her car suddenly breaks down. She pulled over to the side of the road and her car completely stopped.

"Fuck!!! Nooooo!! My baby!!" Haerin doesn't even know if Minji is angry or sad or both but she for sure knows that they are both stranded in the middle of a forest. Minji's head is now resting on the steering wheel, Haerin asks.

"Umm, did you service your car before this road trip?" Minji turns to glare at her friend.

"Of course I did. You out of all people should know how delicate I am taking care of my baby here" then they start bickering. "Well I'm just asking since obviously it looks like it just broke down. Maybe you were too excited for this road trip that you somehow forgot." Haerin replied. "No shit, sherlock. Now let's go out and check what the problem is." Minji goes out and opens the front trunk, with Haerin behind her.

After several minutes checking the engine. "Looks fine to me." Haerin said. "Yeah, that's weird. I even changed the battery last 2 days." Minji said. "I'm going to try turning it on." Minji and Haerin go back in the car and start the engine. After a few tries, nothing seemed to budge. While Minji was busy starting her car. Haerin on the other side, attempting to find the signals on her phone.

"Great," Haerin sighed, glancing around at the dense forest. "No service, no help nearby. What are we going to do?"

Minji frowned, trying to restart the car to no avail. "Let's push the car and see if we can find a gas station or at least a house nearby." They both got out and started pushing the car.

After what felt like hours of exhausting effort, both of them, drenching in sweats. "Hold up, Min. I'm pretty tired here." Minji looked at her, feeling a little sympathy, "Yeah, let's just stop for a while" They took a break inside the car, drinking and munching some snacks they bought for the road trip. Suddenly Haerin noticed a faint light through the trees.

"Yo, Min. Did you see that?" Haerin pointed at the lights. "Yeah I see it too. Oh my gosh, finally there's someone that could help us!" Minji claimed excitedly, got out from her car and pursued the light. "Wait, how can you be so sure it's safe?" Haerin questioned which received a deadpan stare from Minji. "Really? It's either you want to get gobbled up by wolves by staying here or we go there and know if it's a good or bad idea. Either way, both unsafe but worth the try the other option." Minji explained which made Haerin sigh with her logic, her good logic though, and follow her in the end to the light.

As they walked deeper into the forest, suddenly they heard someone humming. Not one person though, sounds like more than one. They followed the voices and ended up at a river. They saw two feminine figures washing their clothes beside the small river. Minji wanted to approach but Haerin held her back. "Are you sure this is a great idea?" Haerin questioned her. "What choice do we have left, genius?". Minji tried to wiggle herself out from Haerin's hold when she finally lost her balance a little and stepped on a twig which caused it to snap. Both of them went static and slowly looked at the two figures. They thought they wouldn't get noticed if they just stayed still but they failed as the two strangers looked behind them and saw both of them in a sort of awkward yet funny position. Minji almost bends backwards but holds onto Haerin while Haerin tries her best to pull and balance Minji. Both of them look at the strangers.

"Well hello there, travelers!" they heard a soothing sound coming from one of the strangers. She has a cute face with a short black hair, with bangs. Her smile was warm and inviting and another one looks sort of a mixed western and asian look with curly brunette hair, piercing eyes and confident demeanor. The sight of them took Haerin and Minji by surprise by their ethereal appearance. The best friends then stood up properly when another pretty woman said.

"You two look like you could use some help." Haerin nodded, trying to steady her racing heart. "Our car broke down, and we were hoping to find a gas station."

The short haired stepped forward, her gaze locking onto Minji's. "You're far from any gas station. But you can stay with us until you figure things out." Haerin and Minji exchanged glances, unsure but left with little choice. "Thank you," Minji said. "We appreciate the help."

"I'm Hanni, and this is my sister, Danielle" Hanni said as they both shoots them both with a sweet smile which made Minji and Haerin's heartbeat skipped a little. "I'm Minji and this is my best friend, Haerin. Nice to meet you ladies" They returned their smiles to them.

Danielle and Hanni led them through the forest to a hidden, enchanting cottage that seemed straight out of a fairytale. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, filled with the scent of fresh herbs and flowers.

"You can stay here as long as you need," Danielle said, her eyes lingering on Haerin. "We'll help you fix your car."

The best friends nodded as if they both got hypnotized by their beauty. "Thank you so much, we will be taking our stuffs from the car real quick" then they both proceed to go back to their car and take their luggage.

As they are taking out their stuff, "I can't believe we encountered two beautiful ladies. I was expecting a psychopath back there" Haerin rolled her eyes "We just met them, and they let us stay with them and sort of "help" us, this is like one of those psychological horror movie starter packs. I can't believe we're in one." Haerin said.

"C'mon, bro. At least if we die, we die in the hands of two angels. And besides, look at you, being all pessimist while you can't take your eyes of that curly haired woman" Haerin slightly pushed Minji while them laughing "Fuck you, Min. You think I didn't notice how you almost stutter yourself talking to that short haired girl." They continue to walk back to the cottage where Hanni and Danielle are. Little did they know, the other two women were listening from their cottage about their conversation and giggled to each other while feeling their heart skipped a beat.
