It only takes a few days for Tree to find Taylor an OB that would sign an NDA and treat her for the duration of her pregnancy. Although Tree hadn't been thrilled about Taylor's news, she's being supportive nonetheless. Before they know it, Taylor and Travis are driving to their first ultrasound. Things had become awkward over the past four days, neither really knowing what to say, both pretty stuck in their own heads now that they'd removed the sex and the drinking from the equation. Taylor's been so sick which hasn't helped matters at all, and her nightmares seem to be worsening with the pregnancy. Travis has been quick to help her out while she throws up when he realises it's happening, but otherwise they stay out of each other's way. He wanted to drive her, rather a driver, mentioning something about liking the tradition of the father driving the mother to the hospital, so she'd let him. Security following closely behind of course.

When the two pull up to the doctor's office, they climb quickly out of the car and rush into the waiting room, not wanting to leave any time for someone to notice them. They'd closed the whole place down for her today, so she walks into an empty waiting room. The receptionist smiles warmly at the two of them,

"Hi! The doctor is just on an emergent phone call right now, but should be wrapping up shortly. Would you mind taking a seat and waiting? We'll call you up when everything's ready." She says in a friendly voice, handing Taylor a clipboard to fill out her medical history.

"That's perfect, thank you." Taylor answers, smiling back at the woman before finding a seat to wait in. Travis sits down next to her and they wait in silence. Suddenly being here floods her mind with all of her fears and anxiety, she begins picking at the skin around her fingers as the silence allows her mind to run away from her. Why on earth did she choose to do this? She can't do this? What the hell was she thinking? She'll just mess this kid up. She just sinks further and further into self-doubt until she feels a hand take hers. Taylor looks up to see Travis grabbing her hand, squeezing gently, forcing her to stop picking her skin raw.

"What's wrong?" He whispers.

"Nothing." She murmurs, squeezing his hand gently. He doesn't press her any further, just keeps her hand in his while they wait.

A few more minutes pass before they're called into the OB's office, Taylor's feet feel like lead as she walks into the room, saying a silent prayer that this won't end up like last time. Travis only releases her hand when she sits up onto the bed in the room.

"Hi! I'm Doctor Jenkins." The woman says brightly.

"Hey, I'm Taylor, and this is Travis." She introduces them both, glad the woman has a kind face.

"It's lovely to meet you both! So I hear you think you're pregnant, and we're looking to do our first ultrasound is that correct?" Taylor nods, gently biting her lip. "Okay excellent, so first up I just have a couple of questions. When was your last period?" She suddenly feels shy, answering these questions in front of Travis feels a bit weird.

"Um, about 7 weeks ago." She answers, as the doctor types into her computer.

"Perfect, and have you had any pregnancy symptoms yet?"

"Yeah, I've been really sick for the last two weeks, and I've been super tired - although I'm not sure if that's related."

"Okay, and have you been pregnant before?" Taylor feels her mouth go dry at the question. She hadn't expected her to ask, but thinking about it now, it should've been the first thing she'd thought of.

"Yes." She whispers, refusing to look at Travis, trying to hold her tears back. This feels so deeply personal and she isn't sure she wants him to know any of this, but she'd chosen to have him here, he wants to be a part of all this. "It was unsuccessful though." She begs herself not to cry, feeling the urge strengthen as the words come out.
